Victoria’s Malayalee community celebrates 50 years of culture and Onam festivities

The Malayalee Association of Victoria (MAV) marked its 50th anniversary with a vibrant Onam celebration, bringing together community members, leaders, and dignitaries in a grand showcase of Kerala’s traditions.

The celebration was graced by Consul General Dr Sushil Kumar, Assistant Treasurer and Minister for Financial Services Daniel Mulino, Victorian Minister for Corrections Hon. Enver Erdogan MP, Federal MP for Holt Cassandra Fernando, Mayor of Greater Dandenong Jim Memeti, popular cine actress Navya Nair, and MAV President Madanan Chellappan.

In his remarks, Dr Kumar praised MAV’s five decades of contribution in promoting Indian culture, fostering multicultural harmony, and building stronger people-to-people ties between India and Australia.
