Australia and India deepen education ties at Canberra meeting

India’s High Commissioner to Australia, Gopal Baglay, recently welcomed Professor G Q Max Lu AO, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Wollongong (UOW), along with former Australian cricket star and UOW Global Brand Ambassador Adam Gilchrist, at the High Commission in Canberra.

The meeting focused on UOW’s establishment of a new campus in India, a milestone seen as a major boost to educational cooperation between the two nations. The initiative is expected to pave the way for stronger academic partnerships, research collaboration, and expanded student mobility, further reinforcing the growing Australia- India higher education relationship.
