Cultural showcase in Springfield highlights multicultural talent

Springfield Central came alive on May 17 as the Varnam Cultural Society – QLD hosted its annual celebration of multicultural arts and traditions, drawing strong community participation. The day-long event featured diverse cultural performances that included music, dance, and storytelling, with strong representation from Indian and other cultural groups across Queensland.



Committee members from the Federation of Indian Communities of Queensland (FICQ) joined the festivities, describing the event as a testament to community spirit and cultural pride. Audience members praised the range of talent on display, noting that the event continues to evolve and grow each year. The vibrant energy of the performances and community participation made it a memorable occasion for attendees of all ages.



Organisers said the goal of the celebration was to promote cultural harmony and provide a stage for emerging and established artists to share their heritage with a wider audience.
