Nominations open till June 2: 2025 Migrants’ Awards to honour changemakers

Bhartiya Samaj is still inviting nominations for the 2025 Migrants’ Awards, which will be presented during the upcoming Empowering Migrants Expo on August 3 at Brisbane City Hall.
These awards recognise the outstanding efforts of migrants in Queensland who have shown leadership, creativity, and commitment to community service, sports, business, and cultural harmony.
There are eight award categories, including:
• Multicultural Community Champion
• Youth Leadership
• Community Organisation
• Business Excellence
• Disability Advocacy
• Creative & Artistic Excellence
• Community Leadership
• Excellence in Sports Nominees must reside in Queensland and demonstrate a track record of voluntary or impactful community work. Past awardees have included IndianAustralian changemakers who continue to uplift others. Nominations close on June 2, 2025. Entry is free, and guidelines are available online at:
