GIRLS DIVISIONS:

10-12 years old 13-14 years old Participants should register for age group based on age as of September 1, 2026.

PRACTICES AND GAMES Clinics will be held the week of August 10.

Practices begin the week of August 17.

Games will be played primarily on Friday evenings/Saturday mornings beginning the week of September 7. Occasional games may be held on weeknights.

Practices and games will be held at Jones Elementary School, 800 Barberry Way Joliet, IL 60431. Ages 4-6 will play 8 regular season games. Age divisions 7 and up will play 7 regular season games and at least 1 playoff game.

OFFICIAL NFL GEAR All participants will receive an NFL jersey and flag belt. Mouthguards are required and gloves are recommended. Rubber cleats are optional, but gym shoes are also allowed.

Metal cleats are not allowed. Participants are asked to wear pants/shorts that do not have pockets while competing in games.

Leagues may be merged with the C.W. Avery Family YMCA, Morris Hospital YMCA and Joliet Community YMCA, with games played in Shorewood, Plainfield, Joliet and Morris.

Preschool Introduces children to the game of soccer.

Kindergarten Introduces children to the game of soccer.

Grades 1-2 Players begin to learn more than just the basics of soccer.

Grades 3-4* A more competitive league for our older players.

Grades 5-6* A more competitive league for our older players. *Grades 3-6 may be combined.

Uniforms: All participants will receive a soccer t-shirt and socks for games.

Cost: Until August 3 $125/$185 After August 3 $135/$200 Games: 8 game season. Games beginning Saturday, September 12 and will be played on Friday evenings, Saturdays mornings, and occasional weeknight games at Jones Elementary School, 800 Barberry Way, Joliet.

YOUTH BASKETBALL LEAGUES TEAMWORK HAPPENS HERE When kids play sports, they get more than just exercise.

The Y Youth Sports program maximizes the positive effects of playing sports by emphasizing healthy competition and promoting teamwork. The Y focuses on the life lessons that can be learned from sports, and coaches strive to instill a positive self-image in each player.

DIVISIONS: CO-ED DIVISIONS: Grades Pre K-12 Girls’ Divisions: Grades 3-4, 5-6 *In order for competitions to run in the Girls’ Divisions, a minimum number of participants must be enrolled. The Y will determine if these divisions will be able to run by November 13, and families will be notified.

Practices and games will be played at the YMCA or local schools. Grades Pre K- 6th will play games on Saturdays at facilities TBD and other community partner locations. Grades 7-8 and the High School Division will play on Tuesday evenings in Plainfield or Shorewood school and on Saturdays at in Joliet, Morris or Shorewood

Apply for Financial Assistance and pay as little as $1 per month for Kid Zone.

At the Y, no one is turned away due to the inability to pay. DHS funds are accepted. Financial assistance may also be available for those who do not qualify for DHS funds.

In the YMCA’s Before and After School program, kids participate in physical, learning, and imaginative activities that encourage them to explore who they are and what they can achieve. Kids have fun, make new friends, and create memories that last a lifetime.

MONTHLY PROGRAM RATES The YMCA’s Kid Zone program is designed to meet the needs of local families. When enrolling in the Y’s before and after school program, families can choose from the following enrollment plans.

Kid Zone monthly installment payments will be paid via automatic withdrawal from a checking account or debit/credit card. Participants may start attending Kid Zone four business days after the day registration is completed.

There must be 10 registered students to run the program on-site at the elementary schools. After August 1, sites will be confirmed and families notified.

The JETS swim clinic is a great opportunity to spend time with the JETS coaches learning new skills and getting an idea of what the team is like. Throughout the clinic, coaches also evaluate swimmers to determine if they meet criteria to be placed on the team. If swimmers do not meet the criteria to join, the YMCA offers swim lesson programs to develop skills.

To participate in the clinic, swimmers must be able to safely swim 25 yards, comfortable with their face in the water. Spots for the team are limited.

Clinic registration at a site does not guarantee practice site for the upcoming season.

Free for Facility Members!

If you are looking to start a new fitness routine and don’t know where to start, or if you have taken a break from exercise and want to get back on track, this FREE program is for you! The Y’s Fit4U program offers guidance, knowledge, and motivation to help you lead a healthier lifestyle and become more physically active. This comprehensive 4-week introductory program will introduce you to the Wellness Center amenities, help you set goals, and design a workout program that works best for you. Each appointment will introduce you to a new element of fitness under the guidance of a Wellness Attendant.

Available to first time personal training clients only.

PART 1: GETTING STARTED AND BASELINE TESTS During this opening session, we will assess your current fitness level, set goals, get body composition (if requested), and complete our Fit4U questionnaire. You will have the opportunity to get set up on the YMCA on the Go App and begin orientation on any cardiovascular equipment (treadmills, ellipticals and bikes) that interests you.

PART 2: CARDIO REVIEW AND UPPER BODY STRENGTH This session will reinforce the basics of using cardio equipment and add instruction of upper body strength equipment based on your fitness goals.

PART 3: LOWER BODY STRENGTH TRAINING The third session will introduce lower body strength equipment based on your fitness goals and review progress on your new fitness schedule.
