PRACTICES AND GAMES
Practices begin the week of August 25. Games will be played on Saturdays beginning the Saturday, September 13 at Morris Grade School, 2001 Dupont Avenue, Morris IL 60450, behind the soccer fields. Ages 4-6 will play 7 regular season games. Age divisions 7 and up will play 6 regular season games and at least 1 playoff game.
*Leagues may be merged with the Galowich Family YMCA and C.W. Avery Family YMCA with games played in Joliet and Plainfield.
OFFICIAL NFL GEAR
All participants will receive an NFL jersey and flag belt. Mouthguards are required and gloves are recommended. Rubber cleats are recommended, but gym shoes are also allowed. Metal cleats are not allowed. Participants are asked to wear pants/shorts that do not have pockets while competing in games.

Before and After School Youth Enrichment Program
In the YMCA’s Before and After School program, kids participate in physical, learning, and imaginative activities that encourage them to explore who they are and what they can achieve. Kids have fun, make new friends, and create memories that last a lifetime.
The Morris Hospital YMCA’s Before and After School Program serves children at Morris Elementary School District 54 and Saratoga CCSD 60C.

OPEN TO ALL MORRIS GRADE SCHOOL AND SARATOGA STUDENTS
The Morris Hospital YMCA will offer half-day and full-day programming for students during the 2025-2026 school year. Half Day programming will be offered on site at the schools, while full days out of school will be offered at the Y. All participants should dress for the weather and bring a sack lunch. Plus a one-time annual $50 nonrefundable registration fee per family. Kid Zone payments will be paid monthly via automatic withdrawal from a checking account or debit/credit card. Participants may start attending Kid Zone four business days after the day registration is completed.

ADAPTIVE SWIM LESSONS
Our adaptive swim lesson program is designed for children with special needs. The goal of this program is to provide basic water instruction and water safety skills in a therapeutic manner with the needs of each individual participant in mind.

1 WEEK SWIM LESSON SESSIONS | PRE-SCHOOL & YOUTH

Free for Facility Members!
If you are looking to start a new fitness routine and don’t know where to start, or if you have taken a break from exercise and want to get back on track, this FREE program is for you! The Y’s Fit4U program offers guidance, knowledge, and motivation to help you lead a healthier lifestyle and become more physically active. This comprehensive 4-week introductory program will introduce you to the Wellness Center amenities, help you set goals, and design a workout program that works best for you. Each appointment will introduce you to a new element of fitness under the guidance of a Wellness Attendant.
PART 1: GETTING STARTED AND BASELINE TESTS
During this opening session, we will assess your current fitness level, set goals, get body composition (if requested), and complete our Fit4U questionnaire. You will have the opportunity to get set up on the YMCA on the Go App and begin orientation on any cardiovascular equipment (treadmills, ellipticals and bikes) that interests you.
PART 2: CARDIO REVIEW AND UPPER BODY STRENGTH
This session will reinforce the basics of using cardio equipment and add instruction of upper body strength equipment based on your fitness goals.
PART 3: LOWER BODY STRENGTH TRAINING
The third session will introduce lower body strength equipment based on your fitness goals and review progress on your new fitness schedule.
PART 4: PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER
In this closing session, we will review and answer any additional questions related to cardio or strength equipment, workout progressions, and Personal Training options.
Members who complete all 4 sessions will be entered into a raffle for a free personal training session.

To prepare for the 2025 Cornfest 5K, join us for the Morris YMCA Couch to Cornfest 5K training program!
This will help you get into shape for the upcoming race with 8 weekly meetings between August 4 and September 22. Weekly meetings will include an educational topic, question/answer period, and a group walk/run.
All registrants will receive a printed 8-week training plan to utilize during the training period.

Let’s celebrate the summer season and the summer solstice with this 90 minute yoga practice. This will be an energizing practice honoring more daylight and the warmth of the sun. Breath work, poses focusing on strength and flexibility, and a lengthened Savasana will leave you feeling recharged and relaxed.
INDEPENDENCE AND FREEDOM

This 90 minute Hatha Yoga class will celebrate independence and freedom. As we find movement on our mats, we will also take time for gratitude and appreciation for those who have served our country. There will be a candle gazing meditation before Savasana. All levels are welcome to join.
