In addition, the trauma facility should also be able to accept patients both via helicopter or road ambulance.

“TSSA accreditation requirements are strict. The facility must be equipped to specific standards, staffed by appropriately qualified and trained emergency doctors and nursing personnel, and a trauma surgeon must be available 24/7 to co-ordinate the multi-disciplinary team. A level 1 facility is also required to have an educational trauma prevention programme in place,” added Murphy.

This is the most common non-cancerous prostate medical condition to develop in men by the time they reach their 60s. This holmium laser enucleation of the prostate (HoLEP) has since become a trusted and proven procedure that has been done more than 230 times,” added du Plessis.
