Types of Fields when Signing •

Signature. New users first confirm their signing name. Default: Required

•

Initial. Signing initials. Default: Required Date Signed. This field is automatically filled in with the current date. The format can include a time stamp.

• •

Text. This is a free text field for data. By default, the text field accepts any characters. Default: Required; Validation – None

•

Approve. The Approve field offers an alternative to a required Signature or Initial

field for recipients to approve your documents. The Approve field is always required. If the recipient clicks Approve during the signing process, the recipient is considered to have signed. If the recipient has completed all other required fields, when they click Approve, they complete the signing process. The Approve field does not add any information on the document, but it records and "Approved" action in the Document history. For your recipient to decline the document, you can add the Decline field, or they can use the Decline to Sign option.

Decline. The Decline field works the same way as the signing option Decline to Sign. If the recipient clicks the Decline tag during signing, any remaining fields on the documents are skipped, and he is prompted to provide a reason for declining. The Document history records the action and the reason provided by the recipient. You can adjust the name of the field, as seen by the recipient, using the Button Text property.

Checkbox. This is a standard, square box for recipients to select one or more options. You can add a single box or a group of multiple boxes. A checkbox group can include a validation rule to enforce how many checkboxes in the group your signer must select. Checkboxes can be required or optional, but if you apply validation that requires the signer to select a certain number of boxes, then the field becomes required.

Radio Button. Radio buttons provide options from which recipients can select only one response.

From the templates tab, click “New”.

Select a template type.

Complete template information. (don’t forget about the “Auto Apply” options!) q Now you are inside of the template you just created.

Complete any static party information from the transaction party tab. q Add forms and documents from the documents tab. q Add static info that won’t change from transaction to transaction. q Create a checklist and add tasks/due dates for this template if desired. q q q

Click “Sign”.

Name the signature packet and select your preferred esignature technology. *remember to set this up in your profile q Select the documents you added to the transaction that require signatures. q Select the necessary transaction parties. q You will then be launched into the e-signature platform you selected. q q
