Leyendas de misterio en Puerto Rico Por: Stella Rodríguez
La Llorona: Esta historia ha sido parte del imaginario colectivo de Puerto Rico durante décadas. Según un amigo, la gente que conduce por el puente Calabasas allí aparecerá una mujer y los conductores la verán. No importa si estas personas comparten viajes o conducen automóviles privados en las calles. De todos modos, el fantasma se detiene en medio del camino y les pide que los lleven a algún lugar. Sino lo hacen, es probable que se les pinche una llanta después de algunas millas. Pero si deciden meterla en el coche, la bella mujer inmediatamente se convierte en una criatura terrible y comienza a llorar tristemente. Sus gritos provocan que los hombres pierdan la concentración y caigan al cruzar el Puente de Las Calabasas, en el mismo lugar que murió la mujer.
La garita del diablo Se dice que en las noches sin luna aparecen fantasmas en algunos puntos del Viejo San Juan. El casco antiguo cuenta con historias y anécdotas de diferentes lugares. Sin embargo, quizás a la que se le presta más atención es la Garita del Diablo. La mayoría de las fortificaciones alrededor del Viejo San Juan tenían puestos de avanzada. Uno de los guardias del Fuerte San Cristóbal es conocido como la "Guardia del Diablo". Este puesto fue construido en 1634 y es una de las partes más antiguas de la Fortaleza militar. Cuenta la leyenda que los soldados desaparecían frecuentemente de este puesto. Se dice que o se escapaban o se tiraban al mar.
El Jacho Cuenta la leyenda que un pescador de las montañas del centro de Puerto Rico pescaba en el río todos los días. Llevó consigo aparejos de pesca, un jacho para alumbrarse en el viaje de regreso y una cruz de madera. Un día se quedó despierto hasta tarde intentando pescar algo, pero no consiguió nada. Más tarde empezó a llover y el pescador decidió volver a casa. En el camino, una fuerte lluvia destrozó su coche y no sabía cómo llegar a casa. Luego tomó y encendió una cruz de madera, que él mismo tuvo que encender en el camino a casa. A los pocos días enfermó y murió. La gente dice que en las montañas se puede ver una luz de Harjo deambulando por el bosque, pues creen que busca las cenizas de la cruz.

The original idea of Frankenstein was from a nightmare Mary Shelley had while on a summer trip in Geneva, Switzerland in 1816. Mary Shelley was on this trip with her husband and other writers. They were all reading Phantasmagoria, a book of ghost stories. Byron, a writer on the trip, made up a challenge that each person should make up a story of reanimated dead people. The scariest story was the winner. Mary Shewel had an idea of Frankestein's plot in the middle of the night. In the dream, she had a spark of an image of Frankenstein. Her rough childhood was then implied in the story.
Versions of Frankenstein Frankestein (1931) This is the first movie of Frankenstein. It was based on the story of Mary Shelley and directed by James Whale.
Bride of Frankenstein (1935) This was the second movie based on the story of Frankenstein, but it was more focused on the bride. This action picture was directed by James Whale.
The Curse of Frankestein (1957) This version of Frankenstein was a different turn on the story. This movie was directed by Terence Fisher.
Frankenstein created a Woman (1967) This version of Frankenstein is very unique. This movie was directed by Terence Fisher.
DIA MUNDIAL DE LA SONRISA El primer viernes de octubre se celebra el Día Mundial de la Sonrisa, un día dedicado a compartir sonrisas y actos de bondad al azar.
