NEWS FROM
Your LBC
DECEMBER 2020
We know there have been many challenges over this past year, and we are proud of our community and how everyone has supported one another. All of us have learned new technology, and we have become more flexible and nimble. And during these times the LBC team has remained steadfastly committed to how important the arts are to a healthy and thriving community. We appreciate how you have joined us as we adapted to deliver our mission of enriching, educating and entertaining our region—and beyond—in new and meaningful ways. Although not the year that we had originally planned, we are thrilled to have had the opportunity to share new arts experiences. If you have not seen our free virtual programs such as Let’s Be Creative! with LBC series, our Luther Locals series or special concerts and events, we invite you to check them out here. Whether providing families at home with guided videos to participate in the arts or sharing the amazing talents of our local musicians through mini-concerts, we are here for you. On this new journey we were also able to pivot how we support students and teachers with virtual programs, including Summer Camps, School Shows, Artists in the Schools and our Mariachi Ensemble. The generosity of our patrons, donors, members, foundations and Business Partners— such as Exchange Bank—have insured that our impact has not only continued but also increased. We have gathered safely with programs like Carpool Cinemas; we continue to be a home for our beloved Santa Rosa Original Certified Farmers Market; our sculpture garden has become a retreat; and while we love our campus, we have also shown that LBC is so much more than a building in times like these. The spirit of collaboration and innovation have guided our year. Thank you for being part of it and helping us keep the arts alive!
