Quantum physics was a challenge for Einstein and continues to be so for today's practitioners of science and business. With its paradoxical logic, there is no certainty in the counterintuitive quantum world. Everything happens with a kind of probability. Time and space are mingled. Categories such as cause and effect are not applicable. Photons are neither tiny particles nor rhythmic waves - they are somehow both. With quantum physics, humanity enters into a new paradigm. Objects can be in different states at the same time (superposition) - and can connect without physical interaction (entanglement).

Art and science both have intuition and curiosity in common. They increasingly share their strength and code new visual, verbal, and even sonic languages to access upcoming paradigms. Artists expand the limitations of the old language of classical physics and coin a new alphabet.
The ArtSci collective Quantum Travelers disseminate emerging science & technology into communicative, attention-building formats. They aim to inject scientific results into mainstream culture and communicate key technologies that shape society – audio-visual and textual narratives produced in co-creation with scientists, artists, and science journalists to

We need a new avant-garde that feeds on the fusion of natural and social sciences, technology, and art, and develops societal utopias - neither dystopias nor promises of technological salvation.
- Bianka HOFMANN
Quantum technology will change daily life and shape future societies. Public institutions and policymakers need to justify spending public funds. Science communication has to leave the landscape of high-tech jargon and open itself to new social environments. As a revolutionary paradigm, quantum technology demands a deeper understanding and a broad public debate. With a new set of lenses, Quantum Travelers provide appropriate responses and perspectives. The ArtSci collective communicates complex scientific results, evoking unexpected associations, visualizing the invisible, exploring hidden realities, and enlarging visionary capacities. We intend to contribute to the democratization of science and technology in an ongoing exercise in collaboration with many players in society to assume social responsibility and to reinforce a public process of informed decision making
Quantum Travelers - a global collective of artists, scientists, and producers - create cultural metaphors to describe challenging scientific concepts artistically. We aim to make increase accessibility to the counterintuitive logic of quantum physics. The collective produces artworks that generate awareness of aspects of quantum mechanics as related to cultural archetypes using visual, interactive, and immersive animation techniques.

We transform scientific results and our natural environment into the language of art and examine how the properties of quantum mechanics blended with artistic archetypes can shed new insights about the nature of existence.

- Bob KASTNER Overcome tech-talk barriers and gaps Like scientists, the artists go beyond the limitations of classical human logic. They create images, poems, or "organized sound" as vehicles to represent the quantum world. Artists create metaphors to explore, to discover, and to communicate the counterintuitive, contradictory quantum technology.
Enhance audience engagement Facilitate public debates And open dialog and support interactions among scientists, artists, and businesses to deepen and reinforce investor’s relations to create “tech for good.”
Although quantum technology is still in its infancy, the global "quantum race" is proceeding at a breathtaking pace. Corporate businesses announce breakthroughs, and academia is progressing quickly. Governmental programs and private funds are equipped with substantial financial resources. In a few years, quantum technology will be one of the global economic drivers.
The interactive, immersive installation entitled Quantum Logos begins with quantum entanglement, unified and symbolized through light and nature. Visitors see light rays dividing into a swarm of surreal possibilities all existing at many states at the same time. Through the chain of art rendering, it weaves visions transcending from natural to synthetic and artificial life. Moments of freedom entangle in infinite play.

It's fairly easy to make amazing visual effects these days, the challenge comes when using these toolsets that are strong in replicating realistic visuals, make artworks that sufficiently describe our subject matter in a way that the public can understand.
- Mark CHAVEZ The launch of the artwork at the 2019 Ars Electronica Festival fully utilizes the technical facilities of the stereoscopic 3D Deep Space 8k theater in Linz, Austria, which provides us with an expanded worldview and presents an opportunity for both artists and scientists to create access for a glimpse at quantum realities. The artwork employs a powerful virtual realtime rendering customized pallet powered by code, and an audioreactive visualization was created using the Derivative TouchDesigner programming language.
