PRESS RELEASE May 12, 2016

Egocentric

Exhibition showcase work from IMPREINT’s Egocentric series, made up of circle explorations as multiple originals. Circle paintings, balloons, coffee cup stains on paper and neons compose several bodies of work where the circular motif is obsessively explored, enabled, sought and found. This process of enabling is the artist’s fundamental concept, whereby he becomes the depersonalised bearer of artistic ideas. IMPREINT creates more than a hundred drawings of circles until he settles on a right one, and then produces series of unique drawings and masse, in their hundreds or thousands. These individual circles are therefore to be understood as components or units in series, and not as singular perfections. Showing on the event will be several of his circular experiments in paper, canvas and neon.
