Introduction
In this unit, learners will learn where Africa is on the world map and which countries and oceans surround Africa. They will also learn about coastlines, borders and islands. All countries have a capital city, which is the most important city in the country. It is not necessarily the largest city in the country, but it is generally the centre of trade or government. You should allocate roughly four hours of teaching time for this topic, with one hour allocated for activities and revision.
