The DS Board: Sect ions & Their Purposes Red Tag Issues Red-Tag Issues are 'show stoppers'. If not addressed, they will halt the progress of the business. Red-Tag Issues are most often tied to Building Blocks; they are the identified hurdles that stand in the way of completing the Building Block. This section of the board is dedicated to clearly identifying the issue, discussing the current impact and consequences of not addressing, and developing a plan to resolve it.

Support Issues Support Issues is designed to help employees and CLB members when they are dealing with a technical problem.

(Support tasks will be assigned to the appropriate team member after the issue has been reviewed)

Communicat ing wit h Team M embers Use @to tag team members in comments so it pops up in their Asana inbox and so it is clear that the question/comment is meant for them to see and answer back. When a task needs someone's attention, assign the task over to them.

Write clear, actionable task names. For example, you might want to say "Complete first draft of blog post" instead of "Blog post."

Assign the task to yourself or to a teammate. Tasks have only one assignee so there's no confusion about who is responsible for the work.

Assign the level of priority - High, Medium, or Low - to help the team gain clarity on work happening across the organization and its importance.

Set a due date, time, or date range to let your teammates know when a task should be completed by. Navigate to "due date" in the task and type a date or select it from the calendar.

Use the task description box to give more details, instructions, or context to the task, so the assignee has all the information they need to start and finish the work.

Attach any needed files. Asana integrates with Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, and Box to make it easy to attach files from the tools you already use.

You can break up a task into subtasks if multiple people need to contribute to its completion.

Some tasks might depend on other work being finished first. Set task dependencies so work happens in the right order, at the right time.

Finally, you can add collaborators to the task (it?s like CCing them on an email.) They will receive notifications about any activity on the task. You can add or remove collaborators at any time.

Open The Sidebar To Quickly See Your Tasks & Inbox M Y TASKS My Tasks shows only the tasks assigned to you and when they?re due. Once you've completed a task, click the check mark next to the task name and leave a comment to let teammates know what you've achieved.

Come back to My Tasks throughout the day to check off tasks you?ve completed, see any new work that?s come in, and get started on your next task.

M Y INBOX Inbox is a filtered news feed of updates, but only for the work you?re following or collaborating on. You can also respond to things right from Inbox and quickly navigate to your work.
