2022 Grant Finalists BIRTH HAVEN Birth Haven II-Extended Care, Housing & Supportive Services The Birth Haven II program will provide structured, in-home therapeutic support services and short-term rental assistance to formerly homeless mothers with young children who have moved into their own apartments after leaving Birth Haven, a temporary shelter. CHESHIRE HOME Kitchen – The Heart of the Home Cheshire Home plans to renovate its two community group home kitchens, encouraging our residents who are differently abled to cook on their own, gain confidence in their abilities, reconnect with their loved ones, and foster community through shared home-cooked meals.
COMMUNITY IN CRISIS Community in Connection Community in Connection is an innovative suite of five creative and experiential recovery support programs. Each program aims to deliver healing and expressive solutions to diverse individuals experiencing mental health and substance abuse use challenges through art, adventure and leisure activities. DOMESTIC ABUSE & SEXUAL ASSAULT INTERVENTION SERVICES, INC. (DASI) Holistic Healing for Survivors of Trauma DASI’s Holistic Healing Program will provide trauma informed care through a variety of modalities to survivors of domestic and sexual violence and human trafficking. After year one, DASI envisions a Holistic Healing Center where survivors can come together for healing.

JEWISH FAMILY SERVICE & CHILDREN‘S CENTER The Impact Café – A Pop-Up Business Powered by People With Disabilities We will hire a Job Coach and launch The Impact Café, a gourmet coffee kiosk run by people with disabilities that ‘pops-up’ across Northern New Jersey, upending preconceptions about people with disabilities, creating new jobs, and inspiring inclusive employment practices.
SECOND STREET YOUTH CENTER, INC SSYC Family & Community Navigator Program The Community and Family Navigator Program links families to resources and provides access to services needed due to poverty, socio-economic status, language barriers and community capacity issues, while building confidence and ability to become advocates for themselves and their children.
ST. JOSEPH SOCIAL SERVICE CENTER Healthier Tomorrow Healthier Tomorrow will empower 100 participants from our Elizabeth, NJ service area to demonstrably improve their health outcomes with regular medical monitoring, personalized nutrition plans, regular fresh foods, prescription assistance, and healthy lifestyle training.

Announcing 10th Anniversary Grants
To celebrate our 10th anniversary year, Impact 100 Garden State will award two special grants of $20,000 each. One grant will be awarded in each of these two categories: Arts and Culture Environment, Preservation and Recreation
With these awards, Impact 100 Garden State shines a spotlight on the critical importance of these areas to the health and well-being of our communities.
After member vote, awardees will be announced at a special October membership event.
