FROM THE SUPERINTENDENT The 2020-21 school year was an amazing year at Immanuel Schools. As the Board, staff, and school community stood together to do what was best for students, we witnessed the faithfulness of the Lord as we battled with the county and state to open our school to on campus learning. We ended up being one of only a few schools statewide that was able to have 180 days of on campus instruction. Also during this past year, Immanuel Schools has seen unprecedented growth with an 18% increase in our student body. Even though this has presented some new challenges, it is a privilege to be in a school environment where we can gather as staff and students to pray and speak the name of Jesus. At Immanuel, we have the amazing opportunity to share God’s Word each and every day through devotions, Bible class, chapel, activities, and events. We consider it a great privilege to be a part of our student’s lives and be able to watch them be transformed by the work of the Holy Spirit. We are very thankful for the opportunities the Lord has given to Immanuel and our community to live out our mission, which reminds us “to serve God and neighbor through mind, body and soul, based on a Christ-centered foundation.” Thank you for your continued support and prayer. Go Eagles!

In His Service,

Ryan Wood Superintendent 3 | Immanuel Schools Annual Report 2021

THE SCHOOL Immanuel Schools was founded in 1926 as a Bible School by members of the Mennonite Brethren Church. In 2004, the school grew into a full K-12 District. Our campus is located on a beautiful 13.5 acres overlooking the Kings River in Reedley. Immanuel added a 50 acre sports complex in 2015, which houses eight tennis courts, two baseball and two softball diamonds, and is the home to County Line Stadium. Accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, Immanuel Schools has a long history of providing a quality, Christ-centered education to families in the Central Valley. Our student population comes from a diverse and wide-spread area, currently residing in 4 counties and 22 cities. Smaller average class sizes (K-6=22 / 712=23) allow for more one-on-one instruction.

The Eagle Fund The Eagle Fund is the annual fundraising campaign for Immanuel Schools. We strive to keep Immanuel as an affordable option for families who long for a Christ-centered education for their children. To that end, the tuition charged each student falls short of covering the total cost of educating that student. The Eagle Fund is designed to help fill the gap between tuition charged and the actual cost of education. Immanuel Schools is blessed to have a wide-range of faithful supporters which include parents, grandparents, local businesses, local farmers, and alumni. We depend on these annual supporters in order to continue to provide the best educational experience for our students. But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. - Isaiah 40:31 8 | Immanuel Schools Annual Report 2021

Stand In The Gap

Stewardship Giving Reflects a Generous Community We believe an Immanuel education should be accessible to all families who value and are committed to its mission. We know a private school education is not inexpensive, but we believe the return on investment is worth every penny. For families who are unable to afford the stated tuition, they may apply for our newly established Flex Tuition Program. The Flex Tuition Program is designed to ensure inclusion and affordability by matching a families tuition rate to the families unique financial situation. This is made possible through donations made to the Stand in the Gap program, a subset of the Eagle Fund. In the 2020-2021 school year 191 students were able to attend Immanuel with a reduced tuition rate, for a combined total of $627,000 savings for families. Parent Testimonial: "I chose Immanuel Schools last year because they fought for their kids to return to school when no one else did. I chose Immanuel this year because my daughter and I fell in love with the school. I love that my daughter gets to learn the word of God. We weren't planning on returning this year but there is no way she can to go school elsewhere now."
