Memorare

Bless This Day

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided.

Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me.

This day is full of beauty and adventure, help me Lord to be fully alive to it all.

During this day, may I become a more thoughtful person a more prayerful person, a more generous and kindly person.

Help me not to be turned in on myself but to be sensitive and helpful to others.

Guardian Angel Prayer Angel of God, my guardian dear, To whom God’s love commits me here, Ever this day, be at my side, To light and guard, Rule and guide.

I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.

I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages.

For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary. and became man.

Glorious Archangel Saint Raphael, great prince of the heavenly court, you are illustrious for your gifts of wisdom and grace. You are a guide of those who journey by land or sea or air, consoler of the afflicted, and refuge of sinners. I beg you, assist me in all my needs and in all the sufferings of this life, as once you helped the young Tobias on his travels. Amid mental and physical suffering may they find consolation in your healing presence. Show your mercy as you close wounds, cure illness, make broken bodies whole and free downcast spirits.

Anxiety

Sometimes I get so nervous. My body will start to shake and my head will swirl with “what if ’s”. Whether it’s something for school, a friendship, a sport, or just my brain trying to get the best of me, I become a worrywart. You know this, God. Help me to take a breath in these moments, and just take a minute to trust in you before I go on with what I have to do.

Hatred

Jesus time, the dogwood grew To a stately size and a lovely hue.

‘Twas strong & firm it’s branches interwoven For the cross of Christ its timbers were chosen.

Seeing the distress at this use of their wood Christ made a promise which still holds good: “Never again shall the dogwood grow Large enough to be used so Slender & twisted, it shall be With blossoms like the cross for all to see. As blood stains the petals marked in brown. The blossom’s center wears a throny crown. All who see it will remember me. Crucified on a cross from the dogwood tree. Dear Lord and Good Teacher, We thank you for giving us the opportunity to celebrate this wonderful occasion of the 50th Anniversary of Immaculate High School. At this special time we give thanks for all of you who are here present and all those who have contributed to the life and success of this school throughout the 50 years history. * We thank you for our parish priests and parishioners for providing the material and spiritual support to our school for all these years. * We thank you for the Diocese of Bridgeport and their staffs for providing direction and guidance to our principals, faculty and school staff. * We thank you for the principals, faculty and whose leadership and dedication to Catholic schools makes our schools strong. * We thank you for parents who entrust their children to Immaculate. * We thank you for all benefactors whose generous support assists us in providing the very best for our young. * We thank you for all current students and the one who went through Immaculate High and now offering distinguished services to our people and our country. * We thank you for the life of those who worked and served at the school and now have departed, may they rest in peace.
