October 9, 2015 We are so pleased that you are able to join us at the first of many 50th anniversary celebrations which will take place throughout this school year! As you can see by the schedule of events listed in this program book as well as our suggested ‘Things To Do’ list, there’s a lot for you to enjoy while on campus or in the Danbury area. This weekend’s all class reunion of alumni and current students provides each of us an opportunity to rekindle friendships and reflect on the school’s past, present and future. It is also a time to remind ourselves that Immaculate High School was founded as a result of the extraordinary commitment of local parishioners, religious, businesses and other organizations, many of whom continue to support our school. We are an extremely proud and a very blessed Immaculate family. The success of our graduates, inspires and motivates current students. It is the respect of our past that supports our ability to magnify the opportunities provided students with a shared vision that we continue the legacy to prepare them to become responsible, moral citizens. A sincere thanks to Denise (Henry) Suarez ‘87, Alumni Relations Director, the over fifty alumni parent, staff and teacher volunteers who raised their hand to assist with this weekend’s celebrations as well as share the good news about Immaculate and to the more than fifty benevolent event sponsors. October 9, 2015 Fifty years ago the faculty and staff sent the first graduating class of Immaculate High School out into the world to do great things. The first class, and the succeeding classes, have earned a reputation for excellence in academics, athletics, and the arts. They have also sustained an amazing legacy of leadership and service rooted in our mission as a Catholic school. Our celebration recognizes and honors all the hard work, discipline, and talent represented in our community during the past 50 years. It is a remarkable story of a strong community of faculty and staff, students and parents, who have always accepted the greater challenge, the greater role, always striving for the greater good. This is a time of incredible momentum and possibility for Immaculate as we move forward together with a clear purpose and commitment to cura personalis, the continued holistic preparation of our students to become successful leaders in the world. We remind ourselves that whatever we have achieved is through God’s help and guidance. Now, God calls each one of us to carry forward Immaculate’s larger sense of purpose and take our rightful place among the giants upon whose shoulders we stand. I invite you to join together to push forward to the next historic chapter in our beloved school. We recall the simple truth of the Immaculate High School motto, To seek truth is to seek God.
