Mystery Babylon A Critical Primer on Catholicism

The Historical Context of Biblical Symbology In ancient Roman religion, Roma was a female deity who personified the city of Rome and, more broadly, the Roman state. She was created and promoted to represent and propagate certain of Rome's ideas about itself, and to justify its rule. She was portrayed on coins, sculptures, architectural designs, and at official games and festivals. Images of Roma had elements in common with other goddesses, such as Rome's Minerva, or her Greek equivalent Athena a

The Region of Europa

Europa in Greek Mythology It is common in ancient Greek mythology and geography to identify lands or rivers with female figures. Thus, Europa is first used in a geographic context in the Homeric Hymn to Delian Apollo, in reference to the western shore of the Aegean Sea. In Greek mythology, Europa (Ancient Greek: Εὐρώπη) was a Phoenician princess from Tyre, Lebanon and the mother of King Minos of Crete. The continent of Europe is named after her. She is most often depicted as a woman riding on a bull. Such frescoes and mosaics (right) were common in the Hellenic areas of the Eastern Empire and contemporary with Christ and his Apostles https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roma_(personification)

Europa in Modern Times Even into the modern era, the symbol for Europa continues to be used. On the reverse of the 2 Euro coin, minted in the year 2000 for the country of Greece, we once again find Europa riding on the bull. The writing on the “Euro” coin in greek literally says ΕYρώπH or “Europa”

The Tale of Europa The ECB will release brand new €100 and €200 banknotes this month, the last in a new string of European tender which are supposed to be more difficult to counterfeit and smaller than the current versions. The series has been entitled Europa, but few people might realise the hidden meaning behind this name. Europa has been described in ancient tales as a beautiful young girl and Greek mythological figure who became known as the Grandmother of Europe, indeed she is who the continent of Europe is named after. Unable to resist her incredible beauty and charm, Europa soon caught the eye of the chief of the Gods, Zeus, who went on to abduct and seduce the young girl. Zeus fell instantly in love with her and transformed into a white bull to approach her. Europa then became transfixed by the bull and was lured into climbing on his back, only for him to take her from her home in Phoenicia to the island of Crete. Zeus transformed back into a human once on the island, and Europa would then end up giving birth to three of his sons after being showered with priceless gifts from the chief Greek god. The ECB has named their new bank note series after Europa, adding that it “adds a human touch to the notes, and of course, is the origin of the name of our continent”.

EU Parliament The EU Parliament building was actually styled after the tower of Babel in historic Babylon. Pairing the European Union’s new facility in Strasbourg with the medieval painter Brueghel’s Tower of Babel has occurred to not a few on the Internet, and not without very good reason. You can almost assume that the designer intended to dare critics to draw the obvious comparison. Modern architects are like that. Harum-scarum! But the E.U. is a fount of many voices, “out of many, one,” so to speak, and amounting to babble only in the eyes of critics.

Tne Case for The City of Rome

Roman Mithraism Roman culture also made use of the bull image. A central image to Roman Mithraic cults was the myth of Mithras slaying the bull. Originally, this "cosmic bull" was slain as a sacrifice to give birth to the world. Creation leapt forth from the bull's blood. Tauroctony is a modern name[1] given to the central cult reliefs of the Mithraic Mysteries in the Roman Empire. The imagery depicts Mithras killing a bull, hence the name tauroctony after the Greek word tauroktonos (ταυροκτόνος, "bull killing"). A tauroctony is distinct from the sacrifice of a bull in ancient Rome called a taurobolium; the taurobolium was mainly part of the unrelated cult of Cybele.

Rome is called “Babylon” According to Eusebius And Peter makes mention of Mark in his first epistle which they say that he wrote in Rome itself, as is indicated by him, when he calls the city, by a figure, Babylon, as he does in the following words: «The church that is at Babylon, elected together with you, salutes you; and so does Marcus my son.»(1 Peter 5:13)"

The Catholic Church AFFIRMS that Babylon is Rome FROM THE TRACT “WAS PETER IN ROME” on CATHOLIC.COM There is, in the greeting at the end of the first epistle: “The Church here in Babylon, united with you by God’s election, sends you her greeting, and so does my son, Mark” (1 Pet. 5:13, Knox). Babylon is a code word for Rome. It is used that way multiple times in works like the Sibylline Oracles (5:159f), the Apocalypse of Baruch (2:1), and 4 Esdras (3:1). Eusebius Pamphilius, in The Chronicle, composed about A.D. 303, noted that “It is said that Peter’s first epistle, in which he makes mention of Mark, was composed at Rome itself; and that he himself indicates this, referring to the city figuratively as Babylon.”

The Catholic Church AFFIRMS that Babylon is Rome CONTINUED Consider now the other New Testament citations: ●

“Another angel, a second, followed, saying, ‘Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great, she who made all nations drink the wine of her impure passion’” (Rev. 14:8).

●

“The great city was split into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell, and God remembered great Babylon, to make her drain the cup of the fury of his wrath” (Rev. 16:19).

●

“[A]nd on her forehead was written a name of mystery: ‘Babylon the great, mother of harlots and of earth’s abominations’” (Rev. 17:5).

●

“And he called out with a mighty voice, ‘Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great’” (Rev. 18:2).

●

“[T]hey will stand far off, in fear of her torment, and say, ‘Alas! alas! thou great city, thou mighty city, Babylon! In one hour has thy judgment come’” (Rev. 18:10).

●

“So shall Babylon the great city be thrown down with violence” (Rev. 18:21).

The Catholic Church AFFIRMS that Babylon is Rome CONTINUED These references can’t be to the one-time capital of the Babylonian empire. That Babylon had been reduced to an inconsequential village by the march of years, military defeat, and political subjugation; it was no longer a “great city.” From the New Testament perspective, the only candidates for the “great city” mentioned in Revelation are Rome and Jerusalem. “But there is no good reason for saying that ‘Babylon’ means ‘Rome,’” insists (critic) Boettner. But there is, and the good reason is persecution. The authorities knew that Peter was a leader of the Church, and the Church, under Roman law, was considered organized atheism. Peter would do himself, not to mention those with him, no service by advertising his presence in the capital. Why encourage a manhunt? We also know that the apostles sometimes referred to cities under symbolic names (see Rev. 11:8). “And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. (Rev 11:8)

Hills/Mountains Kings & Horns

The Scarlet Beast 17 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: 2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication. 3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. Rev 17:9 And here is the mind which hath wisdom.

The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.

“Roma” Depicted as sitting on 7 Hills As Italy Magazine explains, the hill Romulus founded Rome on was one of the seven hills: Palatine Hill. The other seven hills — Capitoline, Quirinal, Viminal, Esquiline, Caelian, and Aventine — were also the site of proto-Roman settlements. Initially, they were completely separate territories ruled by separate leaders. However, over time, they gradually coalesced together to form what would become Rome. The seven hills truly laid the foundation for Rome, and they were often the site of important monuments and buildings during the Roman Empire. Among the early Fathers, Tertullian and Jerome may be cited as referring to Rome as “Babylon”. “I appeal,” says Tertullian, “to the citizens of Rome, the populace that dwell on the seven hills.” Jerome, when urging Marcella to quit Rome for Bethlehem, wrote “Read what is said in the Apocalypse of the seven hills.”

A Roman coin minted under the Emperor Vespasian (ca. 70 AD), also during the lifetime of John of Patmos, depicts Rome as a woman sitting on seven hills.

The 7 Hills of Rome All the Latin poets for five hundred years speak of Rome as the seven-hilled city. Rome is depicted on her imperial coins as sitting on seven hills. Rome was the great power of John’s day, which is known for its seven hills (mountains) named Aventine, Caelian, Capitoline, Esquiline, Palatine, Quirinal and Viminal. Interestingly, an eighth hill, Vatican (Vaticanus) Hill, is located across the Tiber river from the traditional seven hills of Rome. After the papacy returned from Avignon, France, in the 1370’s, Vatican Hill became the headquarters for the papacy. It was the site of the Roman temple to the Great Mother Goddess Cybele, which had, and probably still does, house secret tunnels under where the Vatican is located, where the secret worship ceremonies of Cybele, including child sacrifice, occur.

The Vatican City/State An eighth hill, Vatican (Vaticanus) Hill, is located across the Tiber river from the traditional seven hills of Rome. It was the site of the Roman temple to the Great Mother Goddess Cybele, which had, and probably still does, house secret tunnels under where the Vatican is located, where the secret worship ceremonies of Cybele occurred. Thus the Roman Catholic Church received its power from the Roman Empire after the conversion of Constantine the Great, further reinforcing that the Roman Catholic Church is Mystery Babylon. And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition. (Rev 17:11)

The 10 Horns Rev 17:7 And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns. Rev 17:12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. 13 These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast. 14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful. 15 And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues. 16 And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. 17 For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled. These ten are often also seen as the ten toes of the “feet mixed with iron and clay” in Daniel.

The 10 Horns These most likely refer to the ten Roman Caesars That ruled spanning the lifetime of John of Patmos. The Vatican as the Whore of Babylon

The Woman on the Beast In Revelation 17, the Apostle John describes a vision of a woman riding a scarlet beast which is in fact sort of a mashup of common imagery of his day. Meant, in fact to tell us a lot of information about this coming entity. John records that: ●

The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth. (v9)

●

And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth. (v18)

In describing the woman the Bible merges the common imagery for both Europa (region) and Roma (set of power), and the seven hills (city itself) so the reader decrypt precisely where the author is describing.

A Golden Chalice 4…having a golden cup in her hand Transubstantiation – the idea that during Mass, the bread and wine used for Communion become the body and blood of Jesus Christ – is central to the Catholic faith When the priest at Mass, obeying Christ, speaks the words of consecration, a change takes place. The substance of bread and the substance of wine are changed by God’s power into the substance of Christ’s body and the substance of his blood aka “Real Presence”.. The change is entire. Nothing of the substance of bread remains, nothing of the substance of wine. Neither is annihilated; both are simply changed. Though they believe this and teach it dogmatically, there are no physical signs of change. From a scientific perspective, there is no demonstrable sign of change, and therefore there is no change. The teaching is a deception.

Amen. 26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

The Millstone Offence John tells us that the destruction of Babylon will be symbolized by the millstone cast into the sea, implying that the sin of Babylon also has to do with offences to little children Matthew 18 1. At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven? 2. And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, 3. And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. 4. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. 5. And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me. 6. But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

Accounts of Sex Abuse Made Public about Late Cleric … By Peter Maller Journal Sentinel Online April 24, 2002 http://www2.jsonline.com:80/news/ozwash/apr02/37552.asp

Members of three Roman Catholic parishes said they were shocked to learn that their former priest sexually assaulted boys, and one parishioner questioned whether a hall at St. James parish in Mequon should continue to be named in honor of Father Edmund Haen. Members of St. James, St. Kilian in Hartford and St. Frances Cabrini in West Bend learned Sunday about the past abuse by Haen from a column by Jim Stingl in the Journal Sentinel. Stan Kulfan of Mequon, a former parish council member at St. James and a current Ozaukee County Board supervisor, said Tuesday he was in "complete shock" to learn Haen led a secret life that involved molesting children. Haen was liked and respected, but church leaders should think about removing his name from church property, Kulfan said. "I think the inclination would be that the name of the room should probably be changed," Kulfan said. Jerry Topczewski, spokesman for the Milwaukee Archdiocese, did not return phone calls for comment Tuesday. Archbishop Rembert Weakland will talk with the priests from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. today in a meeting that will be closed to the public. Columnist Stingl reported that Haen had abused John Maurice when he was an altar boy in Milwaukee in the 1940s. Maurice, now 70, estimated that Haen molested and sodomized him more than 100 times while he was a pupil at St. Lawrence Church near Layton Blvd. and Greenfield Ave. in Milwaukee. Maurice said he knew of at least two other boys Haen had abused. Maurice said some of the abuse occurred at Haen's family farm in Sheboygan County. Haen was transferred in 1947 to St. Kilian in Hartford and in 1955 to St. Frances Cabrini in West Bend. He was sent to Mequon in 1972, where he remained until 1990, a year after Maurice reported Haen's abuse to Archbishop Weakland. Auxiliary Bishop Richard Sklba later wrote Maurice saying that Haen, when confronted with Maurice's allegations, "acknowledged responsibility for unacceptable behavior on his part." Haen was forced into retirement in 1990 and restricted from performing priestly duties in 1992. He died seven years later at age 81.

Revelation 17:4 having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication… Edmund Haen (aka “Father Ed”) In the fall of 1989, close to 50 years after his ordination, the archdiocese received for the first time a report of abuse by Haen, which allegedly took place in 1945. Haen was confronted about this incident in January, 1990, while he was in the hospital undergoing cancer treatment. Haen admitted the allegations and said there were no relationships of a similar sort for many years. Haen subsequently resigned as co-pastor of St. James Parish, and retired effective June 30, 1990. He moved to a retirement home with restrictions against seeing minors. Archbishop Weakland fully restricted Haen from any ministry in May, 1995.

The Blood of Martyrs Historians estimate that during the Dark Ages and the Inquisition, the Roman Catholic Church killed over 50 million people whom they deemed as heretics, most of which were Christians who dared to own a Bible (which the Church forbid) or proclaimed the Gospel of Christ. At one event, remembered as the St. Bartholomew’s Day Massacre, an estimated 100,000 Huguenots (Protestant Christians in France) were slaughtered. In Spain alone the number of condemned exceeded three million, with about 300,000 burned at the stake during the length of the Spanish Inquisition. (Source: Page 259 of an updated version of “Foxe’s Book of Martyrs”; 2001; Publisher: Bridge-Logos.) The great historian Will Durant wrote: “Compared with the persecution of heresy in Europe from 1227 to 1492, the persecutions of Christians by Romans in the first three centuries after Christ was a mild and humane procedure. Millions of Christians were burnt at the stake by the Catholic Church.”

The Blood of Martyrs In only one crusade, two million Albigenses were killed. How many must there have been altogether, and how many millions more must have been killed during the entire Middle Ages! “Need I speak to you of the thirty years‘ war in Germany, which was mainly instigated by the Jesuits, in order to deprive the Protestants of the right of free 4 religious worship, secured to them by the treaty of Augsburg? Or of the Irish rebellion, of the inhuman butchery of about fifteen millions of Indians in South America, Mexico and Cuba, by the Spanish papists? In short, it is calculated by authentic historians, that papal Rome has shed the blood of sixty-eight millions of the human race in order to establish her unfounded claims to religious dominion (citing Dr. Brownlee‘s ―Popery an enemy to civil liberty‖, p. 105).

The Queen of an Earthly Kingdom

A Kingdom on Earth? Jesus’s Kingdom is NOT of this earth John 18:36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence. His Kingdom, New Jerusalem, is yet to come Matt 6:10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Rev 3:12b ..the name of the city of my God, which is New Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name. Rev 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. Rev 20:6b they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

Palaces and Castles? Jesus did NOT commission the church to build an earthly kingdom Acts 1:6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? 7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. We are NOT supposed to lay up treasure on earth. Matthew 6:19-20 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: James 5:3 Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.

Great Cathedrals Acts 7:48 Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands Acts 17:24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; 1 Cor 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

Seated in Thrones of Power? Matthew 23 23 Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples, 2 Saying The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat: 3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not. 4 For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.5 But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments, 6 And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues, 7 And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi. 8 But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren. 9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.10 Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ. 11 But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.

The Mother of Heresies

The False Church THE GREAT APOSTASY OF THE CHURCH 2 Thess 2b …the day of Christ is at hand. 3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first,... TEACHING DOCTRINES OF DEVILS 1 Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; AND FULL OF THE FOLLOWING SINS Gal 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

The Pope is Holy Father? Jesus forbids us from calling anyone Father other than our Heavenly Father and Creator, God. Matthew 23:9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. Only JESUS among men is holy. Acts 22:7 Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. And even HE said only God is Good Matthew 19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: Even ANGELS refuse worship and veneration. Rev 22:8-9 …I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things 9 Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.

Papal Infallibility Catholics Believe Under certain circumstances, the pope is infallible (that is, he can not make a mistake). The Catholic Church defines three conditions under which the Pope is infallible: I. The Pope must be making a decree on matters of faith or morals II. The declaration must be binding on the whole Church III. The Pope must be speaking with the full authority of the Papacy, and not in a personal capacity. When he is teaching a matter of religion and the other two conditions above are met, Catholics consider that the decree is equal to the Word of God. It can not contradict any previous declarations and it must be believed by all Catholics. Catholics believe that if a person denies any of these solemn decrees, they are committing a mortal sin – the type of sin that sends a person to hell.

Pontifex Maximus - Supreme Pontiff

Romans 3:4…let God be true, but every man a liar;

Priests There is no New Testament office of Priest. The offices of ministry in the Christian church are listed in Ephesians 4:11 Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and Teachers. There are also administrative offices of: ●

Bishop (1 Tim 3:1)

●

Deacon (1 Tim 3:10)

●

Overseer (Acts 20:28)

●

Elder (1 Tim 5:17, Titus 1:5)

●

Council of Elders (Presbytery) (Acts 22:5)

The function of a priest was explicitly abolished by Christ, himself taking the office of eternal high priest. (Hebrews 7:2428) It is blasphemy for a Pope to assume the title of Vicarius Filii Dei (Vicar of the Son of God). God hated the rise of the Priest Class,

Covering the Head The BIBLE teaches us that a man should not pray with a head covering on because it dishonors his spiritual head, Jesus Christ. 1 Cor 11:4 Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head. YET We see almost all Catholic clergy doing so in direct disobedience to the teaching of the apostle Paul

Babylonian Papal Tiara How similar are the garb of the priests with those of Ancient Babylon, the followers of the sun god and mithraism! No CHRISTIAN precedent! The hat itself mimics the look of the Tower of Babel. Tied to the sun God Shamash. The papal throne features the sun iconography Catholic Equivalent: Papal Tiara(s)

Dagon Priest Fish Hat This goes back to Ancient Ninevah and Assyria. Dagon was an ancient northwest Semitic god worshiped by the early Amorites and by the people of Ebla and Ugarit. He was also a major god, perhaps the chief god, of the biblical Philistines. Mythological sources on Dagon are far from consistent. The prevailing view today is that Dagon was a fertility deity related to grain and agriculture. In some cultures he may have been identical with Baal/Hadad. According to Judges 16, the temple of Dagon in Gaza was destroyed by Samson as his final act. The account in 1 Samuel 5.2–7 relates how the ark of Yahweh was captured by the Philistines and taken to Dagon's temple in Ashdod. Catholic Equivalent: The Mitre

Mithraic Priest Cap This cap evokes the priests of the Roman Cult of Mithras - the dying and rising god. Also known as a “Phrygian Cap” the figures of the god Mithras as well as those of his helpers Cautes and Cautopates are routinely depicted with a Phrygian cap. The function of the Phrygian cap in the cult are unknown, but it is conventionally identified as an accessory. Catholic Equivalent: The Doge Cap and the Biretta

Jewish Kippah/Yarmulke A kippah is a brimless cap, usually made of cloth, traditionally worn by Jewish males to fulfill the customary requirement that the head be covered. It is worn by all men in Orthodox Jewish communities during prayers and by most Orthodox Jewish men at all other times. Among non-Orthodox Jewish communities, some who wear them do so at all times, while others wear them only during prayer, while attending a synagogue, or in other ceremonies. The kippah is called a yarmulke in Yiddish. Wearing of a head covering for Jewish men was only instituted in Talmudic times (approximately the second century CE). The first mention of it is in Tractate Shabbat, which discusses respect and fear of God. Catholic Equivalent: Zucchetto

Obligatory Chastity 1 Timothy 4:3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. BISHOPS, DEACONS, AND ELDERS are biblically allowed to marry and are considered blameless if they have one wife. 1 Tim 3:2, 12; 1 Titus 1:6;

Confession Catholics Believe “We are instructed by the Church to go to confession whenever we have committed a mortal sin and furthermore, to confess venial sins. Furthermore, we believe we are, “whispering in the ear of Christ,” the priest only takes the place of Jesus during the sacrament.” But the BIBLE teaches us to go DIRECTLY to Christ who IS our priest: Hebrews 4:14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession 15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Penance and Indulgences Catholics Believe in the sacrament of reconciliation as “The liturgical celebration of God’s forgiveness of the sins of the penitent, who is thus reconciled with God and with the Church.” The essential elements of the sacrament comprise the acts of the penitent along with the prayer of absolution by the priest. The acts of the penitent are: contrition, the confession of sins, and accepting the penance imposed in satisfaction or reparation. (The temporal punishment that lingers for sins can be remitted through indulgences as well as prayer and acts of charity.) One particularly well-known Catholic method of exploitation in the Middle Ages was the practice of selling indulgences, a monetary payment of penalty which, supposedly, absolved one of past sins and/or released one from purgatory after death. The Catholic church SOLD indulgences until 1567. While reasserting the place of indulgences in the salvific process, the Council of Trent condemned “all base gain for securing indulgences” in 1563, and Pope Pius V abolished the sale of indulgences in 1567.

The Real Presence The Real Presence is the term used to describe the bread and wine in a Catholic Mass. Catholics believe that after the words of consecration have been spoken by the Priest, the bread (host) and wine change their substance to become the actual body and blood of Jesus. It is considered by Catholics, therefore, to be appropriate to worship and adore the changed objects. This is often seen as idol worship by non-Catholics as they do not believe the change of substance has occurred. Because of this belief, Catholics have a special ceremony called Benediction, in which a consecrated host is placed in an ornate case called a monstrance and the people are blessed with it and kneel and pray before it. “If anyone denies that in the sacrament of the most Holy Eucharist are contained truly, really and substantially the body and blood together with the soul and divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ, and consequently the whole Christ, but says that He is in it only as in a sign, or figure or force, let him be anathema.” - Catholic Council of Trent (Under Pope Pius V)

Really, He’s NOT present! Jesus is recounted by Paul in 1 Cor 11:24 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. 25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, this cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. The emphasis was on MY, because heretofore the passover was in remembrance of the LAMB whereas at the Last Supper, he was revealing HIMSELF to be the LAMB OF GOD. It is to be done as an act of “remembrance” not just once a year on passover, but whenever they desire to remember Christ. Thus Jesus repurposed the Passover which we now call “communion”. Jesus was sacrificed ONCE for sins. The sacrificial mass is heresy. Jesus’ body and blood does NOT dwell in the tabernacle or monstrance. He dwells in the SPIRIT FILLED believer! Acts 7:48 Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands Acts 17:24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; 1 Cor 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

Remnant Mithraism A core teaching of the Catholic faith is the belief in literal transubstantiation. Practitioners eat the body and blood of Christ to become one with God. Similar rituals were practiced in the underground “mystery religions” of the Greco-Roman world. In a few of those occult religions, celebrants shared a communal meal in which they symbolically feasted on the flesh and got drunk on the blood of their god. For example, the Mithraic Mysteries, or Mithraism, was a mystery cult practiced in the Roman Empire in 300 BC in which followers worshipped the Indo-Iranian deity Mithram, the god of friendship, contract, and order. Mirroring the Catholic Eucharistic rite, the idea of transubstantiation was a characteristic of Mithraic sacraments that included cake and Haoma drink. But the ritual probably wasn’t original to Mithraism either. In Egypt around 3100 BC, priests would consecrate cakes which were to become the flesh of the god Osiris and eaten

Son or SUN worship? One of the rites of Roman Mithraism is called The Banquet of the Sun.

Genuflection Catholics Believe “To genuflect is to make a reverent acknowledgement by bending the right knee to the ground before entering a pew, when leaving a pew, or when passing in front of the tabernacle, Catholics genuflect towards the tabernacle to show respect for Christ’s presence in the Blessed Sacrament.” While it is true that “every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, that has to do with the White Throne Judgment when all appear before God at the end of days. The Bible says nothing about any requirement to genuflect as an act of reverence toward the communion wine and bread, the practice is entirely made up and has no scriptural precedent. The early church would have thought it absurd and idolatry to kneel before unleavened bread and grape juice. We are also not supposed to eat or drink anything we KNOW has been sacrificed to idols.

Abstaining from Meats 1 Timothy 3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. Acts 10 9 Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour: 10 And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance, 11 And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending upon him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth: 12 Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air. 13 And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat. 14 But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten anything that is common or unclean. 15 And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.

Idolatry

Idolatry - Graven Images 1 Corinthians 10:14 Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry

Lev 19:4 Turn ye not unto idols, nor make to yourselves molten gods: I am the LORD your God. Leviticus 26:1 Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am the Lord your God. Isaiah 42:8 I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images. Isaiah 44:9 They that make a graven image are all of them vanity; and their delectable things shall not profit; and they are their own witnesses; they see not, nor know; that they may be ashamed. 10 Who hath formed a god, or molten a graven image that is profitable for nothing?

Idolatry - Shrine Objects 1 Corinthians 10:14 Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry Rev 9:20b they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: Romans 1:23 And (they) changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. SHRINES ARE FOR PAGANS Acts 19 For a certain man named Demetrius, a silversmith, which made silver shrines for Diana, brought no small gain unto the craftsmen;

Witchcraft & Necromancy

Holy Water? Catholics Believe The Catechism teaches that the sacramentals, consequently holy water, operate principally by means of the Church’s intercession (CCC 1667) Thus holy water advances the bodily welfare of the faithful. Holy water not only possesses the power of cleansing us from venial sin and temporal punishments but also helps us to overcome the temptations of the devil. HOWEVER The apostles made no use of holy water in their prayers or worship, or even for exorcisms. The Bible teaches that even the waters of Baptism have no cleansing power other that it symbolically mimics the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. The prayers of an apostate priesthood would be impotent to bless water to become such an agent of spiritual benefit. 1 Peter 3:21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:

Spells of Warding Catholics Believe in these examples of prayer: 1. Most Holy Mother, Queen of the Angels and Archangels, send me your Champion, the Archangel Saint Raphael, let him heal me of all my spiritual and physical ailments in JESUS' HOLY NAME. May he protect me from satan and all the evil spirit 2. O Divine Eternal Father, in union with your Divine Son and the Holy Spirit, and through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg You to destroy the Power of your greatest enemy - the evil spirits.Cast them into the deepest recesses of hell and chain them there forever! Take possession of your Kingdom which You have created and which is rightfully yours. Heavenly Father, give us the reign of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. (Catholic.org) Instructions from a 25 year Wiccan Priestess: Protection Spells (like prayers), smudge sticks , Salt, Incense, protection baths with herbs and oils, candles, “Walk counter clockwise, the direction of banishing around the entire house sprinkling a little bit of salt water everywhere you go. Then go back and pick up the burning Incense and walk around the house again also counter clockwise waving the incense.” THERE IS NO ARCHANGEL RAPHAEL IN THE BIBLE!

Novena Witchcraft Novenas are prayers Catholics recite by rote as spells of warding, protection, blessing, and many other purposes. Prayers are typically made to a dead Catholic Saint, to Mary, to an Angel, or even more strangely to objects like the “Immaculate Heart” of either Mary or Jesus. Any prayer seeking the dead to intercede is considered necromancy and witchcraft. (Deut 18:9-13) Even at the Resurrection, the women were told NOT to seek the living among the dead. The Parable of Lazarus and the Rich man (Luke 16:20-31) informs us that the dead have no access to the heavens, and those IN heaven cannot perceive those without as there is an intentional barrier placed there by God. Any intercession therefore that happens is by way of the demonic familiar spirits like those consulted by the Witch of Endor (1 Sam 28:7) or of Simon the Magus (Acts 8).

Praying to Saints PRAYING TO THE DEAD IS NECROMANCY Psalm 115:17 The dead praise not the LORD, neither any that go down into silence. Mark 12:27 He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: ye therefore do greatly err. “Scripture does not teach calling on the saints or pleading for help from them. For it sets before us Christ alone as mediator, atoning sacrifice, high priest, and intercessor." —Augsburg Confession (Lutheran), Article XXI. 1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;.

Superstitions Why is it that Catholics have no spiritual qualms about: ● ● ●

praying to Saint Christopher before they go on trips? praying to Saint Anthony when they lost something? burying statues of Saint Joseph (upside down!) in their yards when they’re trying to sell their home?

Praying to the dead by rote prayer is nothing different than an incantation of necromancy by witchcraft. 1 Timothy 4:17 But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness. Eph 4:14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

False Images

Jesus as a White Effete Jesus was a Semitic Jewish man, son of a carpenter. NOT an effeminate, homosexual looking, affectatious, white man with blue eyes and long blonde hair. The Bible describes him: Isaiah 53:2 he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. Isaiah 50:6 I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting. Lev 19:7 Ye shall not round the corners of your heads, neither shalt thou mar the corners of thy beard. 1 Cor 11:14 Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him? Jesus was a middle eastern Semitic Jew from Nazareth

False Apparitions These angelic manifestations (in this case to Faustina) with unscriptural messages are simply not of God. 1 John 4:1 says we are to "try the spirits" to see whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. How do we try them? By the Word. We can know that they are not of God because the messages are contrary to God's word and the teaching of the Apostles which is authoritative for the Christian. Christ told us this would happen: Matthew 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect". Faustina could not have seen God the Father. Why? John 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

Sacred Hearts? Catholics Believe: O Divine Eternal Father, in union with your Divine Son and the Holy Spirit, and through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg You to destroy the Power of your greatest enemy - the evil spirits.Cast them into the deepest recesses of hell and chain them there forever! Take possession of your Kingdom which You have created and which is rightfully yours. Heavenly Father, give us the reign of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The Cult of The Dead and Bizarre

Reverence of the Dead Catholicism has a very morbid and a very macabre fixation with the dead. Matthew 8:22 But Jesus said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead.” Matthew 22:32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living. Mark 12:27 He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: ye therefore do greatly err. Luke 20:38 For he is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him Psalm 115:17 The dead praise not the LORD, neither any that go down into silence.

Cult of the Dead “Catholics believe that the human person is a body/soul unity. Humans are unique in that we are the only creatures (known to us) who are both body and soul. Angels do not have bodies, and animals do not have rational souls. And this is what we are: not merely angels and not merely beasts. We are destined to live for eternity as humans. This means that we will be reunited with our bodies in the resurrection of the dead; some will rise to glory and some to condemnation. Basically, your body is you. Your body is good. Furthermore, “the body, and it alone, is capable of making visible what is invisible, the spiritual and divine” –Pope John Paul II)

Mass for the Dead Catholics Believe: The offering of Mass for the repose of the soul of the faithful departed is linked with the belief in Purgatory. We believe that if a person has died fundamentally believing in God but with venial sins and the hurt caused by sin, then God in His divine love and mercy will first purify the soul After this purification has been completed, the soul will have the holiness and purity needed to share in the beatific vision in heaven. The Bible does NOT teach purgatory. That is an invention of religious fiction writer Dante Alighieri. The BIBLE says this about the dead. Jesus is the GOD of the LIVING. Those who die in the Lord are not dead. They are simply waiting in Abraham’s bosom (like Lazarus) or in hell (like the rich man)” Matthew 22:32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living. Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: That’s it. No purgatory, no limbo. Just death then heaven or hell.

Adoration of Relics Relics are objects related to (DEAD) Saints. There are three categories of relics 1) Items directly associated with the events of Christ’s life (manger, cross, etc.), or the physical remains of a saint (a bone, a hair, a limb, etc.). 2) An item that the saint wore (a sock, a shirt, a glove, etc.) Also included is an item that the saint owned or frequently used, for example, a crucifix, book etc. 3) Anything which has touched a first or second class relic of a saint. By canon law there must be a relic in the altar stone of any altar in a Catholic Church upon which Mass is to be offered.

Self Harm/Crucifixion Philippines, March 29 (Reuters) - Catholic devotees were nailed to crosses in sweltering heat north of the Philippines capital Manila on Good Friday in a re-enactment of Jesus Christ's crucifixion. Seven more Filipinos were nailed to crosses in other villages in Pampanga. The crucifixions were the most extreme display of faith in the Philippines, where about 80% of its more than 110 million people identify as Roman Catholics. During Holy Week, some devotees flagellate themselves with bamboo whips, an act they believe to be penance that will wash away their sins, cure illness and lead to blessings.

“In modern times the use of the hairshirt [(cilice)] has been generally confined to the members of certain religious orders. At the present day only the Carthusians and Carmelites wear it by rule; with others it is merely a matter of custom or voluntary mortification.”

Bizarre Rituals The Scapular - When a Catholic wishes to wear the scapular, a Priest says a set of special prayers and blesses the scapular. For wearing the scapular, Catholics believe that Mary, the mother of Jesus, will ensure that they do not die a horrible death (for example by fire or drowning) and that they will have access to a priest for confession and the last rites before they die. As a condition for wearing the scapular and receiving these benefits, the Catholic must say certain prayers every day. Ash Wednesday Christians from many denominations recognize the holy season for 40 days leading up to Easter. For centuries, Christians have received a sign of the cross with ashes on their forehead at the beginning of that season as a reminder of mortal failings and an invitation to receive God’s forgiveness. Semana Santa Holy Week in Spain is the annual tribute of the Passion of Jesus Christ celebrated by Catholic religious brotherhoods and fraternities that perform penance processions on the streets of almost every Spanish city and town during the Holy Week –the last week of Lent, immediately before Easter. The KKK appropriated these costumes in the 1800’s.

Strange Parades Holy Week processions in Europe (Spain) The pasos depict scenes of the Passion of Jesus Christ - in other words, the last few days before his death: arrest, sentencing, flagellation, carrying the cross, crucifixion, and resurrection. In a city each procession goes from its parish church to the cathedral and back again. Processions begin on "Viernes de Dolores" (the Friday in the week before Holy Week) and last until Easter Sunday. The most solemn and famous procession is the "Procesion de los Pasos", also known as the "Procesion del Encuentro" (Procession of the Meeting). The costumes used in Semana Santa celebrations remain a mystery. Still, the purpose is simple – their faces are covered in mourning. As a sign of shame for the sins they have committed throughout the year.

Purgatory Catholics Believe: that "all who die in God's grace and friendship but still imperfectly purified" undergo a process of purification after death, which the church calls purgatory, "so as to achieve the holiness necessary to enter the joy of heaven". A less than cleansed soul isn’t fit for heaven. It needs to be cleansed or “purged” of its remaining imperfections Sanctification involves suffering, and purgatory is the final stage of sanctification that some of us need to undergo before we enter heaven. Purgatory is the final phase of Christ’s applying to us the purifying redemption that he accomplished for us by his death on the cross. When a Catholic requests a memorial Mass for the dead—that is, a Mass said for the benefit of someone in purgatory—it is customary to give the parish priest a stipend. The Bible does NOT teach Purgatory. It does not exist. The concept was first defined in 1275 at the Second Council of Lyon. It was an elaborated in literature invented by the mind of one Dante Alighieri (b.1265- d.1321). His poetic work Il Purgatorio, (no doubt influenced by Catholic zealots) was part of a larger work called The Divine Comedy which written between 1308 and 1321 AD. The Catholic Church officially proclaimed purgatory as official dogma in 1438. The Church of England and Orthodox churches both rejected the dogma immediately.

Assumption of Mary? Catholics Believe that Mary did not die, but that she was assumed bodily into heaven. Some also say she died, but was not buried but her body was taken to heaven like Moses. On November 1, 1950, Pope Pius XII declared the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which the Church celebrates every year on August 15. Simply put, the dogma of the Assumption states that at the end of her life, the Blessed Virgin Mary was taken, body and soul, into Heaven. HOWEVER On the cross, Jesus entrusted Mary’s to the care of the Apostle John as recorded in his gospel (John 19:26-27). Mary was with John, the rest of the apostles, and Jesus’ brothers in Jerusalem at the upper room and received the Holy Spirit along with the rest of them. Traditional history tells us that John eventually left Jerusalem, likely before the Jewish Revolt and Siege of Jerusalem, and made their way to Ephesus. There they lived until Mary’s death (in 41AD per Hippolytus) and burial of natural causes. In later years, John was arrested and imprisoned on the island of Patmos just off the shore of Modern Turkey where he died having written his contributions to our Bible. He makes no mention of her assumption to heaven in his works even those written after her death. Gravesites exist for her in Ephesus and Jerusalem, the former being most likely.

Immaculate Conception Was Mary without sin (Immaculate)? No. Catholics believe that when Mary conceived Jesus she was sinless, and exempt from their dogma of Original Sin. HOWEVER Mary refers to God as her Savior (1:47). Scripture is clear that only sinners need a Savior. Thus Mary is acknowledging her own need for God’s grace and salvation. Mary is not a dispenser of grace to others, but a recipient of it herself.

Mary was not without sin. Romans 3:23 teaches that all have sinned and fall short of God’s glory, and there is nothing in the Bible to suggest that Mary was an exception to this rule.

Mary was with the 120 in the upper room waiting to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost. (Acts 1:14) If she was immaculate and sinless already, what need would she have had for sanctification? She heard the message Peter preached in Acts 2:38.

The apostle John wrote, “If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us” (1 John 1:8–10).

While we can safely assume that Mary was a godly woman to have found favor with the Almighty for the honor of bringing the Messiah into this world, she was nevertheless a Jew under the Law and needed to join the New Covenant like all other followers of Christ.

The “we” in this passage includes Mary, the mother of Jesus. To claim Mary is without sin is an example of “deceit.”

Jesus was the only human without sin. (2 Cor 5:21, 1 John 3:5, 1 Peter 1:19)

Catholics dogmatized the notion of Mary being immaculate as late as 1854.

Divine Motherhood? Was Mary the “MOTHER OF GOD”? No. Catholics Believe Mary's divine motherhood was proclaimed at the Council of Ephesus in 431. Various names are used to describe Mary's role as mother of Jesus. She is called "Mother of God" which translates the more accurately stated greek term "Theotokos" or "Birthgiver of God." The title of Mother of God with which the Catholic Church honors Mary, is not only the source of incomparable greatness in her, it is also a potent means to ground us firmly in the possession of the true Faith, and to bring us to a more perfect knowledge of God.

The BIBLE teaches us that God is eternal, without origin, and without parentage. God is a Spirit without flesh and blood. The LOGOS existed with God prior to his becoming flesh and dwelling with us as the Son. Mary is the mother of the MAN Jesus but not of the ONE eternal God who dwelt within Him. Mortal cannot generate the eternal. It is blasphemy to assert that a human can birth a God. This concept is a vestige of Mithraism also implying multiple gods.

Perpetual Virginity? Declared so by Roman Catholics 553 AD at the 5th Council at Constantinople

MARY HAD FOUR MORE SONS AND AT LEAST TWO DAUGHTERS WITH JOSEPH AFTER JESUS’ BIRTH! Matthew 1:25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS. Matthew 13:55 Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas? 56 And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things? Mark 6:3 Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him. Galatians 1:9 But other of the apostles saw I none, save James the Lord's brother. Acts 1:14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.

Our Lady of Fatima? FALSE PROPHETS - DEMONIC AND ACCURSED Catholics believe the story of the Our Lady of Fátima miracle begins on May 13, 1917. Three peasant children, Francisco, Jacinta, and Lucia were tending to their family's sheep. The children under 10 years old were blessed with the presence of the Virgin Mary, Mother of Jesus. In Portugal, she is also known as Fátima. Galatians 1:6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 2 Thess 2:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, Mark 13:22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect. Matthew 24:4-5 4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. MARY IS DEAD - THIS IS THE WORK OF A DEMON

Praying the Rosary Matthew 6:7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Luke 11:27 And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked. 28 But he said, Yea RATHER, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it. 1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Mar 12:27 He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: ye therefore do greatly err. PRAYING TO MARY - THE SIN OF “WITCHCRAFT” (GAL 5:20-21) MARY IS DEAD - SHE CANNOT HEAR YOU (LUKE 16:26) YOU CANNOT PRAY THE DEAD OUT OF HELL. (HEBREWS 9:27)

Comediatrix of Grace? Catholics believe that Mary is a co-mediator with Christ in the salvation of humanity. ONLY ONE MEDIATOR - NO CO-MEDIATOR 1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; IT IS CHRIST ALONE WHO SAVES, NOT CHRIST PLUS MARY Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. GOD ALONE RECONCILES US TO HIMSELF BY HIS SON 2 Corinthians 5:18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; MARY WAS A RECIPIENT OF GRACE - IN THE UPPER ROOM Acts 1:14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.

Worship of Mary ONLY ONE MEDIATOR - NO CO-MEDIATOR 1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; GOD ALONE RECONCILES US TO HIMSELF BY HIS SON 2 Corinthians 5:18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;

Mary was not even recognized in Scripture as a leader in the early Church. Peter is the one who stood up, addressed the crowd, and preached in Acts 1, not Mary.

False Water Baptism

Infant Baptism? No Example in Scripture. “Household” and “Family” are closest example: Catholics Believe: Because babies are born with original sin, they need baptism to cleanse them, so that they may become adopted sons and daughters of God and receive the grace of the Holy Spirit. A baby who dies unbaptized cannot go to heaven. Miscarriages, abortions: “The Ecumenical Council of Florence (1431-1449) declared that all who die in original sin end up in hell but not in equal punishment with those who died in mortal sin. This would seem to logically include infants who die before baptism.” Roman Catholic tradition teaches that unbaptized infants, not being freed from original sin, go to Limbo (Latin: limbus infantium), which is an afterlife condition distinct from Hell. The Gospel requires repentance and conversion before baptism (Acts 2:38) Protestants believe that a child of an age too young to understand to repent is protected both the mercy and grace of God and also by the faith of his/her household.

Christening isn’t Baptism The word BAPTIZE comes from Baptizo in Greek meaning “to immerse” Catholics Believe : According to the Jesuit Post, “The priest or deacon will pour water over the child's head, saying, “I baptize you in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.” It is absolutely essential that these are the exact words that are used.” Certain Orthodox and Anglican traditions do actually immerse infants completely under water. It is not disallowed by Catholic dogma. The Gospel requires full bodily immersion in water in Jesus’ Name as representative of the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. Acts 8:38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him. Not “Father, Son, Holy Ghost” as the Catholics do, but as the Apostles did in the Bible and commanded us to so do, “In the name of the Lord Jesus”. We are to invoke His great name.

Father, Son, Holy Ghost? Catholics Believe : According to the Jesuit Post, “The priest or deacon will pour water over the child's head, saying, “I baptize you in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.” It is absolutely essential that these are the exact words that are used.” They also cite Matthew 28:19 However, the Bible requires water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ (Acts 2:38) Acts 4:12b “there is none other name under

heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” Acts 2:38 - In the name of Jesus Christ Acts 8:16 - In the name of the Lord Jesus Acts 8:37-38 - He confessed Jesus Christ at baptism Acts 10:48 - In the name of the Lord Acts 18:8 - They believed on the Lord Acts 19:5 - In the name of the Lord Jesus Acts 22:16 - Calling on the name of the Lord Romans 6:3 - Baptized into Jesus Christ Galatians 3:27 - Baptized into Christ

False Spirit Baptism

Water Baptism = Spirit Baptism? No Example in Scripture. “Household” and “Family” are closest example: Catholics Believe: Because babies are born with original sin, they need baptism to cleanse them, so that they may become adopted sons and daughters of God and receive the grace of the Holy Spirit. …

Confirmation? Confirmation is not in the Bible. Catholics Believe: In the Sacrament of Confirmation, the baptized person is "sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit" and is strengthened for service to the Body of Christ. A bishop anoints the candidate’s forehead with chrism oil, signifying a commitment to grow in faith and continue their relationship with God. Candidates report no demonstrable change or connection with God’s Spirit. The requirements for confirmation are: ● ● ● ● ●

Attend and participate in weekly scheduled religious education classes. Select a patron saint's name (of either gender) as a Confirmation name. Participate in the Confirmation Retreat. Study for and pass your Confirmation Exam. Select a sponsor. Perform a minimum of 10 hours of community service per year.

HISHE Confirmation is not in the Bible. The Bible Teaches: The Holy Spirit indwells the believer not by a rite, or ceremony, by an actual supernatural transaction wherein the Spirit of God actually comes to reside in the believer and as a result they manifestly begin speaking in tongues (Acts 10:45-46) and/or prophesying (Acts 19:6) as a sign of confirmation to those present (1 Cor 14:22) that God’s work has been done. Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is the Spirit aspect of John 3:3-5 whereby one must be born again of water and spirit to see heaven. The requirements for being filled with the Holy Spirit are (Acts 2:38, Acts 19:1-5: ● ● ●

False Gifts of the Spirit Catholics Believe (with no Bible Support):

At Baptism, we receive seven special gifts from the Holy Spirit. These gifts are freely given to us to help us live as followers of Jesus and to build up the Body of Christ, the Church. The Gifts of the Holy Spirit are sealed and strengthened within us at Confirmation: ● ● ● ● ● ● ●

Wisdom Understanding Right Judgment, or Counsel Courage or Fortitude Knowledge Reverence or Piety Wonder, Awe and Fear of the Lord

The Bible Teaches: The Gifts of the Holy Spirit are given only to those who have first received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, the initial evidence of this is a manifestation of speaking in tongues (Acts 10:45-46, 19:1-5) The gifts are listed in 1 Corinthians 12: ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ●

Altered Scripture

The Apocrypha The Codex Sinaiticus (circa 325AD), Athanasius’ Easter Festal Letter (367AD), Eusebius’ History (264-340AD) all include the full NT canon as we know it today. The Muratorian Fragment of 170AD has all but 1,2 Peter, Hebrews, and James. As per the OT canon Josephus lists the full correct canon circa 90 AD which squares with the Tanakh and the earlier Greek Septuagint. The Roman Catholic Apocryphal books were not even added to their Bible until 1546 at the Council of Trent. None of them are found in any authoritative canon until the 4th century. The Nag Hammadi (300-400AD) Omits them as well. With the exception of Esther, Protestant Christians accept Athanasius’ canon as complete.

Johannine Comma The text of 1 John 5:5-9 has been corrupted and printed erroneously as a trinitarian proof text in the Catholic and KJV Bibles. This derived when Erasmus, revising Jerome’s Latin Vulgate of the 400’s, was forced to add the unsupported text to his version which became the authority drawn on by the KJV Bible. The NIV has made the correction and removed the Catholic tampering error.

Forbidding the Bible 1 Corinthians 14:36 What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only? The Church actually discouraged the populace from reading the Bible on their own -- a policy that intensified through the Middle Ages and later, with the addition of a prohibition forbidding translation of the Bible into native languages. Decree of the Council of Toulouse (1229 C.E.): "We prohibit also that the laity should be permitted to have the books of the Old or New Testament; but we most strictly forbid their having any translation of these books." In 1536 C.E.William Tyndale was burned at the stake for translating the Bible into English. According to Tyndale, the Church forbid owning or reading the Bible to control and restrict the teachings and to enhance their own power and importance. God’s Desire Matthew 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. 2 Corinthians 4:3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

A Contrived Godhead

Trinity? Is Christ in the Godhead? Not widely believed or practiced until the 5th to 7th centuries after Christ. No mention in the Bible. The only proof text is a Catholic Interpolation circa 1516. No early greek manuscript has the trinity text. NIV english bibles have made the correction. “We do not confess three Gods but one God in three persons, the “consubstantial Trinity.” The divine persons do not share the one divinity among themselves but each of them is God whole and entire.” Catholic iconography and imagery depicting the trinity typically shows the Father and the Son as two distinct embodied Gods overshadowed by a dove, often flanked by Mary to complete the “Holy Family”. In this way they depict Elohim/Yahweh as Primary God and Jesus either as a second god or demigod and the Holy Spirit as a lesser animal.

Unity

…or is the Godhead IN Christ?

The Bible teaches that God is a Spirit, that he is empirically ONE and He dwells fully and permanently, inextricably manifested, in the person of Jesus Christ. Christ, being fully human, is thereby also fully God - he is ONE WITH THE FATHER as he explained to his disciples. Correct Christian imagery depicts a singular being, the person of Jesus Christ as fully one with the Spirit that is God. The Holy Spirit is the spirit of the resurrected christ which proceeds from Him to interact with and redeem his church. Also called “The Ancient of Days” or the “Holy One of Israel” or “The Lamb of God” or “The Eternal High Priest” etc. he is often depicted sitting on a throne in heaven, or riding to heaven upon a white horse during his eventual Second Coming. Bible Support -

God was IN Christ, reconciling himself unto the world, (2 Cor 5:19) IN Christ dwells the fullness of the GODHEAD bodily (Col 2:9) The Lord Jesus is the express image of God’s person (Heb 1:3) If you have seen Jesus, you have seen the father (John 14:9) Jesus and the father are ONE. (John 10:30) HIS NAME shall be called Everlasting Father (Isa 9:6) Immanuel meaning God with us. (Matt 1:23) The Word was MADE flesh and dwelt among us (John 1:14) He came unto His own, and his own received him not. (John 1:11)

Christians do not gesture the sign of the cross because that is a form of confessing the Trinity a hellenistic concept derived from Plato.

The following terms should never be used to define God: God the Son, Mother of God, CoMediator, Redemptrix, Eternal Son, Eternally Begotten, Incarnation, Immaculate, Trinity, Triune, Three in one, persons, second person of, third person

FLEE THIS FALSE CHURCH LIKE AS LOT TO ZOAR The BIBLE literally tells believers to leave the Catholic Church or else they will share in her judgment. Revelation 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. 5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. 8 Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and

mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her. 20 Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and

prophets; for God hath avenged you on her. 24 And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints,

and of all that were slain upon the earth.
