SIGHTS TO SEE
Here is where you get to see some of the more visually pleasing places of the “Naptown”.
THE COMMIUNITY TOGETHER
Indianapolis has a long history of African-American settlement, dating back to the early 19th century when free and enslaved Black people played a crucial role in shaping the city. Over the years, this community has grown and thrived, leaving an indelible mark on Indianapolis. One of the most remarkable aspects of the Black community in Indianapolis is its dedication to preserving its heritage and supporting one another. From the Madam Walker Legacy Center, honoring the groundbreaking entrepreneur and philanthropist Madam C.J. Walker, to the vibrant annual Indiana Black Expo, which celebrates Black culture and fosters economic empowerment, there are numerous initiatives that bring people together. Music and arts also play a vital role in the cultural expression of Indianapolis' Black community. Local talents and emerging artists often grace the stages of venues like the Walker Theatre and the Chatterbox Jazz Club, contributing to the city's diverse artistic scene.

Woodland is an all-in-one activity extravaganza. There is not only a bowling alley but an arcade, laser tag arena, and a full mini golf course on the outside of the building with a mini lake and all

Cleo’s Bodega
Though a bodega is normally a New York thing but, Ms.Cleo brought one to Indy and gave it its own vibe to fit the city. Locals and connoisseurs alike frequent Cleo's Bodega for a unique and authentic taste of an entirely different city in another one making it a must-visit gem in the heart of Indianapolis.
Big Dans
Big Dan's Hamburgers delivers a satisfying and nostalgic dining experience that harks back to the golden age of American diners. Known for its no-frills approach, this humble establishment serves up juicy, made-to-order burgers, crispy fries, and old-fashioned milkshakes. It's a favorite among locals who appreciate the simple yet delicious combination of quality ingredients and friendly service. It doesn’t matter if you're craving a classic cheeseburger or a hearty double-patty creation.
The Bodega is split into two parts on the right side there is a convenience store that would be similar to the inside of a small gas station or corner store (depending on what region you live in). On the left side, there is a restaurant/ study hall type of area in which they serve a plethora of smoothies and breakfast sandwiches. This side reminds me of a modern-day version of any 90's black sitcom hangout spot from the art to the music. The Bodega also collaborates with some of Indy’s black-owned food companies in which they sell from flavorful lemonades to Chef Oya’s Trap Sauce.
THE ELITE SPOTS

Yats is a popular restaurant known for its flavorful Creole and Cajun cuisine. With an ever-changing menu, it offers a taste of New Orleans, making it a go-to spot for those seeking bold and authentic flavors.

There aren't many places to set up and get good scenery without a bunch of office buildings but here are a few I managed to catch.
