Arthlene and I met 17 years ago at a high school football game. Our sons were friends and teammates and over the season, our conversations quickly led to the realization that we would become close friends. One shared Thanksgiving meal and church worship choir later and the bond became solid.
I’ve seen my friend go through countless hardships, setbacks and disappointments, but her unwavering faith in Jesus Christ is a beauty to behold! My friend stands on faith, is sustained by faith, and steps out on faith. It has been my honor to watch my talented sister grow in business acumen and influence - all while providing heartfelt and practical service to the community. She is a rare jewel and I’m grateful to be amongst her tribe.

I’m so honored to have met my beautiful friend Davia 17 years ago. We connected and have been great friends since the day we met. She is more than a friend, She is like a sister to me; actually, she is closer to me than any of my sisters. She has been and continues to be someone to who I could tell all my secrets, she is very loyal, trustworthy, dependable, and sincere. A great active listener. I’ve cried in her ear so many times and she’s never made me feel uncomfortable. I miss being in Ohio, because I know we would be hanging out as we used to. She has always made me feel like royalty, encouraged and empowered me to keep pushing no matter what. One other thing that I love about my dear friend is that every time I would call, whether it’s with an issue or not, she would always offers prayers. I’m so honored to have her grace the cover of our magazine.
