WHY USA-MADE GARMENTS?

� In 1960, roughly 95% of apparel worn by Americans was made by Americans. As of 2009, this number had dropped to 2%.

� US garment manufacturing has decreased by 80% in the past three decades. The global garment industry has filled the gap, and has proven rife with indentured labor, child labor, and environmental destruction.

� With rising awareness of the true costs to people, our economy, and the environment, in addition to strong policy support to “Buy American”, the number has risen to 3% as of 2021.

� We have a chance to revive an industry that nearly died, so Americans can still buy American-made clothing.

The Dignity Apparel mission is to create dignified, life-changing jobs. We’re blessed to have created nearly 30 jobs in 2022, the vast majority of which provided employment for the previously unemployed in our community, adding much-needed income and benefits for their families. God knows they’ve worked hard to handcraft every garment we’ve made, and they’ve earned it. And God willing, we’re just getting started!

Traci will celebrate her 15 year anniversary with Image Pointe this year, and we’re thrilled to have her stepping into a role where she’ll oversee both IP and Dignity Apparel operations. Above all, she loves to serve our team by creating a fun and fulfilling work environment while also helping us achieve excellence in all we do.

Our Plant Manager has more than 30 years of experience working in, and managing garment factories. He also shares a similar story with many of our employeesHe came to the United States at 16 not speaking any English, he started off sweeping the floors, and through hard work and commitment worked his way up to managing that factory.

Pointe family since 2017, where she previously held the role of Logistics Lead, before making the move over to Dignity Apparel running our Business Operations. She is an avid adventure seeker, who enjoys traveling and spending time with her friends and family.

KYAW SOE

Product Design & Sampling

Kyaw Soe fled Myanmar with his family when he was just a teenager. He then spent more than a decade in a refugee camp in Thailand, before getting asylum in the United States. While there, he actually sewed together all of the kids’ school uniforms for the camp, and it was there that he discovered his passion for sewing and garment design.
