Welcome to Medina!

We are all aware that Medina has become a destination on many levels. Whether you are a resident, tourist, business owner, shopper, or a history-lover, you will find that Medina is extraordinary. In 2024, we invite you to “Meet Me In Medina”. We believe this will take on a whole new meaning when we serve as an Ambassador City for the April 8, 2024 Total Solar Eclipse. The last total eclipse in northeast Ohio was in 1806, and the next will be in 2099, so this phenomenon will draw visitors by the thousands to view the once-ina-lifetime event. Medina has also just launched an astronomy-related display called the Helios Project, created by local business owner Larry Johns. You will find more information about the project in this magazine.

You can also “Meet Me in Medina” during the twenty-one Saturdays of the Medina Square Farmers Market, the 30th Annual Ice Festival, the Candlelight Walk, the numerous free concert events, and all of the festivals and events produced by Main Street Medina.

Greater Medina is proud of its wide-ranging selection of restaurants where you can always get a great meal; it’s six excellent breweries, and some of the best ice cream and yogurt you will ever taste. Don’t forget to “meet me” for your shopping; from candles to fine leather goods, from books to candy apples, Medina is the place to meet and shop.

Lastly, Medina is a great place to live! One visit to the Square and folks know this is where they want to live, raise a family, or retire. Medina has award-winning schools, a premier library system, an extensive selection of fine parks and recreation choices, safe streets and neighborhoods, and world-class healthcare. No matter how you find your way to Medina, we welcome you!
