Michael Schoen, President and CEO of World Truck, was born and raised in Medina, Ohio. He has been in the trucking/towing business his entire life, and his father, Carl, owned a trucking transport company here in Medina. Young Michael accompanied his father on hundreds of jobs. He learned how to drive trucks on his father’s lot at the age of twelve and has never looked back. Following in his father’s footsteps, Michael chose Medina to build his towing and recovery business. World Truck recently celebrated 34 years of serving Medina County and the surrounding areas. What started out as a two-truck company, has now grown into an impressive array of

74 working units and is continuing to grow. Michael attributes World Truck’s success to running a fair and honest business, leading with integrity, and always putting the customer rst. Over the past 34 years, Michael has continued to work side by side with his team. He is a certi ed Federal Highway Incident Management Trainer and holds the highest level of training as a Level III National Recovery Specialist. As Michael always says, “You can never have enough training and knowledge; the industry is constantly evolving.” He sends his team members to multiple training sessions each year to keep them up to date on the latest techniques.
