Interview Opportunity: "Year of the Farmer" Campaign Kicks Off Feb 12
The Illinois Soybean Association (ISA) is proud to be a part of a coalition of Illinois farm associations that are joining together to make 2023 the Year of the Farmer. The statewide campaign kicks off with a televised commercial on February 12 during football’s biggest game, Super Bowl LVII.
ISA, along with the Illinois Farm Bureau, Illinois Corn Growers Association, Illinois Beef Association, Illinois Pork Producers Association, and the Midwest Dairy Association, enlisted the help of Illinois farmers across the state to tell their stories and share the noteworthy fact that
ninety-six percent of Illinois farms are family owned and operated.
The commercial creates awareness of past, current, and future generations of the land and animal stewards responsible for caring for Illinois’ vast and fertile resources. By celebrating and highlighting real Illinois farmers, the coalition hopes to build consumer trust and further bridge the gap from farms to forks.
Check out this behind-the-scenes video featuring families who volunteered to open their gates and share their farms with Illinois.
