Guidelines 1. Students will create a separate Facebook account from their personal Facebook account. 2. Students will be required to make a separate illustrative avatar for this class. 3. Students will post only information relative to the class at this Facebook group. 4. Students will not post or link material considered pornographic in nature. 5. Students will post ”constructive criticism” in comments. 6. Students are required to critique all class member’s work for each exercise. 7. Students will also observe the rules and guidelines stated by Facebook. 8. Students will not post work for other students. 9. Students will not plagiarize work. Students will cite or link research findings. 10. All students will work to protect others in this group from misuse.

So Far... • 24 Facebook groups have been created for Illustration coursework • Over 8000 images have been uploaded and archived from these classes • An illustrated video showcase was created using archived images directly from FB student posts. • Guest speakers and reviewers such as Dave Werner, Cameron Eagle, Tim Jessel, have participated in online critiques with classes • On more than one occasion, students have successfully rebuilt lost, stolen or damaged portfolios from Facebook group postings • In student evaluations, the practice of using Facebook as a class resource continues to receive high ratings and comments
