May is here and that means it is time to celbrate beef month. Find out how this month, and every month, Illinois celebrates its beef farmers and ranchers..
The celebration of May as Beef Month is underway here in Illinois and IBA has spread across the state to drive home the age-old message – Beef. It’s What’s For Dinner. Building the demand for beef through education and promotion is a year-round campaign, but during May and continuing into the summer grilling season, it is time to highlight the benefits of beef to consumers.
As always, to build demand for beef amongst all Illinoisians, IBA is spreading the word of May Beef Month through social media, radio, digital and print communications outlets across the state, driving traffic to the Beef. It’s What’s For Dinner. website, where a vast array of beef recipes, information and cooking tips and tricks can be found.
IBA has yet again partnered with Sam’s Club locations across the state to promote retail beef through the end of June via the retailer’s mobile-app and in-store opportunities. These promotions are aimed at encouraging producers to increase the amount of beef purchased and picked up from the meat counter during their shopping excursion. This program has been a huge success here in Illinois in the past, with Sam’s Club being one of the larger beef retail opportunities within our state.
In the state’s largest consumer marketplace, IBA teams up with the Iowa Beef Industry Council to partner with a social media influencer for a Father’s Day Grilling promotion in Chicago for the ultimate summer grilling experience.
To support the Beef Month campaign and the official rollout of summer grilling season, IBA has placed several billboards across the state promoting this year’s new national campaign, Together we bring more. Whether it is grilling in the backyard with a group of friends and family, or sitting around the dinner table, when we come together our accomplishments and relationships have greater impact and fulfillment. Let beef be the reason we come together this grilling season.
