As IBA looks back on 2023, we can’t help but be excited for what 2024 will have in store.

by Devin BollmanBeyond the walls of the Illinois Beef office, IBA has made many strides in the work our policy division is doing in Springfield and D.C., including continued success defeating anti-livestock legislation in state and federal government. We’ve helped support and promote more pro-livestock leaders in government, along with educating and doing proactive outreach between cattlemen and elected officials, to share the store of our Illinois beef industry.
The work your checkoff dollars are doing in local communities is providing support to local beef promotions and marketing programs, as well as statewide through efforts with our commodity partners like the “We Are The 96” campaign launched earlier this year. On December 17th, Jo Daviess CBA hosted their annual banquet and auction in Galena, where they reflected on the year, awarded scholarships, and donated 500lbs of hamburger meat.
