Welcome to the Week 8 newsle\er.
Last Saturday we celebrated the Sacrament of ConfirmaMon with our Year 6’s and our Parish. I was very proud of the reverence and commitment shown by all students and I would like to congratulate them on behalf of the school community. Special thanks go to all involved behind the scenes, both at the Parish and School, which made the day so beauMful.
It was a busy week for our Year 6’s as they also a\ended camp. Everyone had a fantasMc Mme and it was wonderful to see everyone having a go at the acMviMes and stepping outside their comfort zone. Well done Year 6’s for your leadership, enthusiasm and commitment to ensuring that your camp was such a successful one.

Semester One reports will be sent home at the end of the term. They are an assessment of the student’s achievement in terms of the Western Australian achievement standards (which describe the expected achievement for students who have been taught the curriculum content for the full year of schooling). In the Semester 1/Mid-Year reports, teachers make a professional judgement in relaMon to the year level Achievement Standard to that point in Mme.
We have some changes to staffing in second semester. Mrs Maureen O’Neill in 4W and Mrs Leanne Griffin in 1B are taking long service leave for second semester. Sadly Miss Chelsea Meborn-Hubbord in 6W is leaving us. I am pleased to announce that Miss Claudia Napoli will be joining us in the 1B class, Mrs Fiona McDonald in 4W and Miss Kerrin Du Toit will be in 6W. Welcome to Infant Jesus School and I look forward to the students geing to know their teachers be\er as they come in over the next few weeks to meet the students and plan with the teachers.

As a school with limited parking, there are ojen issues. Could all parents please note the following:
· The ACROD Parking in the carpark behind the library has, at Mmes, been used by parents who do not require it. Please do not park in this bay, even if it is just for a minute or two.
· Please do not park on the verge/road on Smith Street. We are in the process of trying to get new signs (the old ones are faded) that indicate that there is no standing on the road or verge as parking here obstructs the view of cars exiMng onto Smith Street.
I thank you all for your consideraMon and support in keeping everyone safe.
As the term draws to a close, there are sMll a few events on our calendar:
· Monday 19 June: China Day
· Wednesday 21 June: Cheesie day (K- Year 2)
· Thursday 22 May: Year 6 Winter Carnival
· Friday 22 June: Cheesie day ( Year 3-6)

· Thursday 29 June: End of Term Mass (Year 3)
· Friday 30 June: Last day of Term 2, Reports live on SEQTA
Enjoy the rest of the week
