Dear Partner in ministry,
When Joanna could no longer find It Is Written on television, she wasn’t sure what she would do. She had watched It Is Written every week. The program blessed her and fed her spiritually. Although Joanna’s relationship with Jesus was in its infancy, she loved God and enjoyed learning more about Him.
Some time later, she was thrilled to find It Is Written again. After calling to request a free offer, Joanna was connected with an It Is Written representative who lived near her home. They began studying the Bible together regularly. Joanna devoured the It Is Written Bible Study Guides, began attending church, and, before long, was baptized. Joanna says gratefully, “It Is Written saved my life!”
We know that it was God who saved Joanna’s life, but He used It Is Written to reach her heart. First, the weekly It Is Written television program. Then, the It Is Written Bible Study Guides. But there was something else God used. Or rather, someone. God used a trained Bible worker to meet with Joanna and encourage her in her spiritual growth.
This is why It Is Written places so much emphasis on training people how to share their faith. While anyone at all can share Jesus, intentional, careful training transforms a person into a skilled soul winner.

In preparation for a major evangelistic outreach in Colombia, South America, later this year, It Is Written trained and equipped many lay people to give Bible studies. One man especially took the training to heart. As incredible as it sounds—even before the meetings in Bogota take place in November—he has led 91 people to decide for Jesus and be baptized!
This is why It Is Written invests in our annual ReCharge1 public evangelism and church growth retreat. It is why we train people all around the world to share their faith. And it is why It Is Written provides intensive evangelism training to dozens of people every year through our evangelism training school, SALT.
SALT—Soul-winning And Leadership Training—is held annually in partnership with Southern Adventist University. This year’s SALT class is our largest ever, a collection of remarkable people with exciting stories to tell. John quit his job and moved two time zones to pursue evangelism training. In the past, businessmen and women have put their professional careers on hold in order to become skilled disciple makers. And hundreds of college students have found God’s purpose for their lives at SALT.
