arriving back he realised his error, and due to his keys and phone being left in the bag, had to catch a taxi to Cockburn and back again to swap the bags over. The day ended up costing around $370 because he also paid for a babysitter for the day so he could play the last match. A loss of close to 90 shots topped off a day that should be forgotten but never will.

Did you hear about the Pennant team that played against Armadale in October 2006? Well this team had a combined age of 343 years. It consisted of Ian Hay-Hendry (90), Stan Morrison (80), Billy Stevens (86) and Frank Searle (87). I wonder how young Stan felt playing with the ‘oldies’?

Did you hear that Spider Webb and Ian Linford arrived to play in the Saturday nominated pairs and then discovered that their names were not on the list? After some investigation it was discovered that they had entered the Veterans Mixed Pairs by mistake!
