Prepare formal introduction of yourself

Generally a set of questions are asked-Knowledge based

Prepare yourself for written test- GK, Aptitude test

Be ready for Group Discussion It is conducted to judge your leadership and communication skills

If you feel discomfort to communicate in English do not hesitate to ask whether you can talk in Hindi.

How to prepare your Resume

1. Submit plain text only 2. Cover Letter- customized according to job description. 3. Plain white copy paper is highly recommended. 4. Its better to prepare your resume in A4 size sheet.

Dressing for an Interview

• Dressing plays an important role in an interview • You should be well groomed • Professionally dressed • Be Positive & Active • Behave appropriately

Grooming for Males

• Hair – Make sure your hair is well combed. • Face – Ensure your face is oil free • Nails - Take care that your nails are clean • Shoes - Shoes should be clean & polished

Attire for Males

Suits: Dark Business Suit – Black, Charcoal and Navy Blue are the best colours Shirt & Tie – White or light coloured full sleeves shirt are preferable, classic patterned solid colour tie. The tie should reach belt buckle and very close to collar when tied Shoes & Socks – Black or brown leather shoes. Socks should match with the trouser colour. Belt: Only black or brown color belt are to be worn on formals. The belt colour should match with shoes.

Grooming for Females

• Hair should be properly combed • Wear simple makeup • Wear an Elegant watch • Do not over use perfume

Attire for Females

• Suit: The business suit should be of Black, Navy Blue, Grey or Beige colour. • Skirt: It should match with suit & till knee length • Shoes: Simple style leather shoes, solid colour, eg. Black or brown • Socks: Thin skin coloured stockings

Facing an Interview

Remember…

▸ Nervousness is normal ▸ Take a deep breath and try to RELAX ▸ Don’t let nervousness interfere with your answers or conversation ▸ Remind yourself that this is just part of the process to see if you are a good fit for the position

During an Interview

When Introducing yourself

• Smile Truly • Offer a firm handshake • Greet Politely • Good Posture • Walk straight • Stand tall • Sit at the edge of the chair. Leaning slightly forward

Do’s for the Interview

 Carry at least two resumes with photographs  Remember to carry a pen with you  Be sure about the address and location of the place  Reach at least 15 minutes before interview time  Calculate your time (considering traffic jam) to reach the interview location.  It is better to over dressed than under dressed

Don'ts in an Interview

Don’t be late Don’t Cross your arms over your chest during an interview Don’t sit rigidly on the edge of the chair Don’t ask about the salary ▸ Be careful of bad habits ▸ Tapping your fingers ▸ Biting your nails ▸ Playing with your hair ▸ Clicking your pen, etc.

Don'ts in an Interview

Do not argue with the interviewer(s) Never say “I don’t know”…Sorry sir, I am not familiar with this area right now, but I’ll be very soon… Do not forward your hands to shake hands unless the interviewer do so at the beginning of the interview Do not chew gum during the interview Do not tell jokes in the interview session Speak boldly not loudly Avoid using poor language, slang, pause words ( like, umm, uh,…etc) Don’t shake your legs
