Celebrating Justice Madan B. Lokur’s Legacy and New Global Role

IILM proudly felicitated Justice Madan B. Lokur on his appointment as Chairperson of the UN Internal Justice Council.

The former Supreme Court Judge of India, he has been a strong advocate for judicial reforms, human rights and transparency. His leadership in this global role will further strengthen the UN’s internal justice system.

We were also honoured by the presence of Mr Kapil Sibal, President of the Supreme Court Bar Association, who shared valuable insights on law, governance, and democracy.

Knowledge Exchange at Samarkand State University Uzbekistan Prof (Dr) Munish Sabharwal, COO of IILM University Greater Noida recently engaged with PhD and Master's students in Uzbekistan delivering an insightful session on Big Data Analytics using AI. He also conducted a special session for faculty members on leveraging AI tools for research and teaching.

The discussions highlighted AI’s transformative impact on academia, from data-driven decision-making to innovative teaching methodologies. It was inspiring to witness the growing enthusiasm for AI-driven education and research in Uzbekistan.

Dr Harivansh Chaturvedi receives AIMS Ravi J Matthai Fellowship Award Dr Harivansh Chaturvedi has been honoured with the prestigious AIMS Ravi J Matthai National Fellowship Award at the 35th AIMS Annual Management Convention held at the Master School of Management Meerut. This award, named after the first Director of IIM Ahmedabad, recognises Dr Chaturvedi’s outstanding contributions to management education and research over a remarkable 47-year career.

IILM University hosts Annual Principals’ Conference 2025 IILM University Greater Noida successfully hosted the Annual Principals’ Conference on "Empowering Future Minds: Integrating National Education Policy (NEP) for Skilling and Innovation." The event brought together educators and experts to discuss transformative strategies for implementing the National Education Policy and fostering innovation in education.

Verdictus Law Fest – Client Counselling Competition Navrachna University, Vadodara 21st and 22nd February 2025

Prachi Mangla (4th Year) and Priyanka Bose (3rd Year) secured 3rd place in the Verdictus Law Fest - Client Counselling Competition at Navrachna University, Vadodara (21st-22nd February 2025). Prachi Mangla also won the Best Advocate Award at the same event.

Sneha Joon (4th Year, BA LLB), Kashish Sharma (3rd Year, BBA LLB), and Vinayak Tyagi (2nd Year, BA LLB) were 2nd runners-up at the Jamia Hamdard Mediation Competition.

Legal Awareness Camp Empowering Communities with Knowledge and Justice The Legal Aid Centre at IILM University Gurugram organised a legal awareness camp at Ullawas Village, aiming to empower residents with knowledge about their legal rights and access to justice. The initiative focused on educating the community about fundamental rights, government welfare schemes, and legal remedies available for common issues.

Law students and faculty members actively engaged with the villagers, addressing their queries and providing guidance on legal procedures and dispute resolution mechanisms.

Union Budget 2025: Expert Analysis at IILM IILM Lodhi Road, in collaboration with EBG Federation and Deloitte, hosted an insightful session on the Analysis of Union Budget 2025. The discussion featured a distinguished panel of experts who shared their perspectives on key budgetary aspects Ms Saloni Roy Partner, Tax, Deloitte – Economic Indicators and Indirect Tax Mr Goldie Dhama Partner, Tax, Deloitte – Policy Changes & Impact Mr Prabhanu Sikaria Associate Director, Tax, Deloitte – Emerging Trends in Direct Tax Ms Deepika Mathur Executive Director, Deloitte India – Personal Tax The discussion, moderated by Dr Gurpreet Singh Bhatia (Professor, IILM) and Mr Rajeev Gupta (Senior Adviser, EBG Federation), explored the impact of tax breaks on economic growth, the multiplier effect, and how tax incentives drive consumer demand.

Addressing the students, Dr Harivansh Chaturvedi, Director General, IILM, highlighted the significance of the Union Budget in shaping economic policies and emphasised the role of strategic fiscal planning in a dynamic global economy.

MoU with L&T EduTech

IILM University Gurugram is proud to celebrate the launch of Innovative Methods of Teaching and Learning in Law, a comprehensive guide on modern pedagogy in legal education.

Edited by Prof (Dr) Ranbir Singh, Pro-Chancellor, IILM University Gurugram, and Dr Komal Sandhu, Associate Professor, Department of Law, Gurugram University, the book features contributions from distinguished legal scholars and educators.

IILM University Gurugram has signed the (MoU) with L&T EduTech to strengthen the connection between industry and academia. Through this collaboration L&T will offer specialised programmes in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Robotics Intelligence, and Full-Stack Web Development for Computer Science Engineering students.

IILM University Gurugram The Money Matters Post-Budget Insights competition brought together students to critically examine and debate the implications of the latest budget. Future-Focused Design POLI.design’s collaborative exchange

IILM University Gurugram collaboration with POLI.design offered students a valuable platform to explore the future of design through insightful discussions and expert perspectives. Empowering Minds: IILM partners with CanSupport for Community Well-being

Cybersecurity: Equipping Students for a Safer Digital World IILM University Gurugram organised an expert session with Major Vineet Kumar, a renowned cybersecurity specialist, to discuss emerging cyber threats, ethical hacking and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act. Major Kumar provided insights into the growing risks of data breaches, online fraud and cyber warfare, emphasising the role of ethical hacking in strengthening digital security. He also outlined key provisions of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act and its implications for individuals and businesses.

IDEATHON 2.0: Innovating for a Sustainable Future The School of Computer Science & Engineering and School of Management, IILM University Greater Noida successfully hosted IDEATHON 2.0. The event fostered innovation and collaboration, exploring technology driven solutions for a sustainable future.

We are pleased to announce that the Department of Psychology, IILM University Greater Noida has signed an MoU with CanSupport NGO, dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by cancer and serious illnesses.

This collaboration aims to provide psychological support, offer hands-on training for students, conduct awareness programmes, and promote community driven well-being initiatives.

Inaugural Panel Discussion of ‘Arguendo’ – The Debating Club of IILM Law School IILM Law School Gurugram inaugurated the Arguendo Debating Club with its first-panel discussion, providing a platform for students to engage in insightful discourse on critical legal issues. The session focused on Article 19 and parliamentary privileges, fostering meaningful discussions on the balance between freedom of speech and legislative authority.

Hackathon 2025: Innovate, Code & Transform!

The School of Computer Science and Engineering successfully hosted Hackathon 2025 at IILM University Greater Noida, bringing together tech enthusiasts for a 24-hour national-level coding challenge.

Under the theme "Tech for Good: Empowering Communities for a Better Tomorrow," participants showcased innovative solutions to real-world problems, demonstrating creativity, collaboration and problem-solving skills.

Training the Next Generation of Legal Practitioners The Intra Moot Court Competition 2025 hosted by the School of Law, Greater Noida provided students with a platform to hone their advocacy skills in a simulated courtroom setting. Participants engaged in rigorous legal arguments, demonstrating their research, reasoning and oratory abilities before a distinguished panel of judges. The competition fostered critical thinking and practical legal acumen, preparing future legal professionals for real-world challenges.

IILM University Gurugram is delighted to share that our students — Rudraksh Sachdeva Akshit Singh, Shivansee and Mehar—secured 1st place in the Hackathon at Thapar University Patiala. Their project on AI-Powered Traffic Optimisation and Emergency Response System demonstrated exceptional innovation and technical expertise. The team was mentored by Dr Sapna Arora, whose guidance was invaluable to their success. Congratulations to the team on this remarkable achievement.

The School of Engineering, Greater Noida in collaboration with the Departments of Mechanical & Allied Engineering and Electrical & Electronics Engineering, organised an industrial visit to the Coca-Cola Happiness Factory.

The University's Sports Club, Greater Noida – Aikyam organised an exciting day of sports activities, bringing together faculty and staff for a spirited celebration of teamwork and camaraderie. Communication students visit to World Book Fair 2025 Communication students from IILM University Greater Noida visited the World Book Fair 2025 at Bharat Mandapam immersing themselves in diverse literature, global narratives and engaging sessions with industry experts.
