Fun Ways to Serve While Social Distancing While we are channeling this unprecedented time in our country, you may think that is is impossible to serve your community while practicing social distancing. While the community service that we are used to may be challenging there are still many ways to continue to help the community! 1) Make Dog Toys

-Cut up old t-shirts into strips -Take 3 of the stripes and braid them together 2) Make Tie Blankets for the Homeless Shelter

-Take 1 yard of fleece and cut stripes a couple of in wide along the edge -Put the 2 pieces of fleece on top of each other and knot the stripes of the two pieces togther 3) Make Cards for Healthcare Nurses or Nursing Home Residents

- Use glitter, markers, and etc. to either thank the healthcare workers who are risking their lives or for nursing home residents that may not be able to have visitors 4) Post Positive Social Media Posts

- Continue to make the world a better place by sharing some positive vibes with people who need it -Tag iikeyclub.division13 for a repost!

Penguin Project Penguin Project of the Sauk Valley is a theater program that is catered to young adults and children with disabilities. Each special needs child is paired with a mentor who is in high school. During the 3 month process, the actor and mentor work together on lines and choreography twice a week at practice and they eventually take the stage together in mid November to perform a full scale musical production. Last year, actors and mentors from Byron, Sterling, and Dixon Key Clubs participated in Annie Jr and I would love to see Key Club even more involved this year. This year's informational meeting will be held on May 12 from 5:30 - 6:30 at Northside Baptist Church . I will attach the link to their
