• Luckily, society has evolved from stigma, which has often been associated with social and behavioral issues, and parents are more willing to discuss the condition of their child rather than conceal it. Parents should not be afraid to look for other parents or caregivers in similar situations, as there is motivation to find those who may have the same parental difficulties

Use Your Child's School as a Resource

• Parents will start looking for help at the school of their son. Ask the special education coordinator, school psychologist or therapist what services are available in the area, how often they meet and how to reach them for help. You may even be able to propose specific groups or meetings based on the learning difficulty of the individual, which in terms of relevance would be even more important.
