Keynsham In Bloom are starting the summertime early with several projects in the pipeline.

Our Pocket Park continues to thrive, and the hopscotch will be cleaned and repainted, the birds are enjoying their feeder and water feature and we have seen a fox run through when we have been working on a Saturday morning.

The flowerbeds and containers at the station are looking lovely and we are planting more insect friendly flowers on the Bristol flowerbed side. Also in hand is the painting of a mural, above this strip of garden to enhance our rail entrance to Keynsham. The Dee James Memorial train is full of flowers and will continue to brighten the darker side of the station.

The High Street containers are still planted with Spring flowers, but these will be replaced with colourful cascading Summer bedding to mirror the three-tier planter outside the Library, which will now be situated outside of the Victoria Methodist Church on the High Street.

Should you wish to become a volunteer, please either pop into the Town Council office at 15-17 Temple Street, email Dawn Drury at keynshaminbloom@icloud.com or myself at catherinemarywoodman@gmail.com. You would be very welcome.

Our aim this year is to make our townsfolk smile when they look at our displays.

Keep well and safe and keep gardening.
