About Us IGB International School (IGBIS) is a premier Early Years to Grade 12 international school. Situated at Sierramas and Valencia, in the north-west of Kuala Lumpur, IGBIS is an IB World School authorised for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme.

IGB International School is a candidate school* for the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme and the Middle Years Programme. These are schools that share a common philosophy – a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education that IGB International School believes is important for our students.

Meet the

LEADERSHIP OF IGBIS

Mrs. Anne Fowles has 19 years of diverse experience heading leading international schools in China, Thailand, Mongolia and Fiji. Her experience with IB includes teaching, authorisation and coordination of each IB Programme, in addition to being a Visiting Team Leader, a programme consultant and field representative. She is the Chair of the IB Heads Council (and as such is Chair of the IB Heads Standing Association, and a member of the IB Board of Governors) and has been a member of the IB Asia Pacific Regional Council.

MRS. ANNE FOWLES Head of School

Mr. Lennox Meldrum has come from the IB Global Centre in The Hague, Netherlands where he was the Curriculum Manager for IB Diploma-level Physics and IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) Science and Mathematics.

Previously, he was the Senior School Principal and IB Diploma Coordinator at Beijing BISS International School.

Mrs. Claire McLeod has been the Junior and Elementary School Principal at International School Ho Chi Minh City and oversaw the implementation of the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) in one of the first PYP schools in Asia.

Mr. Peter Syme was formerly Assistant Principal at the Australian International School Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur and has many years of experience in national and international schools.

Mrs. Bronwyn Thorburn’s career in international education has spanned 18 years in the United Kingdom, Switzerland and New Zealand, serving as both an English teacher and a Director of Admissions.

Experience IGBIS’s distinctive education in a pleasant residential neighbourhood only 14 kilometres from the centre of Kuala Lumpur. The area is well connected by the North Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE), Lebuhraya Damansara Puchong (LDP) and Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2), making it readily accessible from all parts of the city. Our school is very close to the railway station for the KTM Komuter’s Rawang-Seremban Route and the future MRT station in Sungai Buloh.
