One morning, the young couple appeared in the basement of the huge house of Opera. Staff, directors, and the entire police were horrified wondering how that could have happened. Were they there all the time? How come nobody noticed it? There were questions that everyone asked, but with no concrete answer found.

Both bodies were almost unrecognizable. They presented a detestable appearance, with marks of lacerations, dreadfully thin, their skins pale and colorless, full of bruises and other terrible features too much to be cited. Whoever had committed that atrocity wished to see the young couple suffer because only by their icy bodies on the floor, you could understand that no act of piety had been conceived.

After so long of their disappearance and the impeded discovery of their bodies, they began to question and blame Erick, as he had killed others before. However, nothing could be said with such certainty, as there was still no clear evidence of the culprit or the culprits of the crime. The couple's bodies were removed from the scene and taken for an autopsy that would reveal even more details about the sad story that could have turned into a beautiful happy ending tale, but a love that arises from inequality between classes is already doomed to be forbidden or almost unattainable.

Now, for the police, everyone in the big Opera House was a suspect for the couple's murder. It was not known who was innocent and who was to blame. They had only one goal: to find out who had killed Christine and Raoul and to punish those responsible for it.

A search for evidence was carried out for another week until the detective received some responses from the autopsy revealing that the victims had been kept threatened throughout the kidnapping and that they had constantly suffered physical torture, each in a different way. The autopsy revealed that Raoul had suffered torture like drowning, where your head was dipped in a bucket full of water, forcing to the drowning limit. Moreover, it stood out marks on both him and Christine of physical assaults.

Carlotta soon entered the room, a little nervous. She didn't know for sure what she would have to say, because she had never done that before.

- Miss Carlotta, right? - asked the detective, staring seriously at the young woman, which made her even more nervous, making her tremble and sweat. - Yes, detective. - the young woman tried not to show her nervousness, which was a failure.

- You know why you're here. You who found the bodies. I want you to tell me everything you know.

- I ... - She couldn't speak, her nervousness took over itself.

I was so scared that I screamed, but no one could hear my screams, the basement is very deep, you can't hear anything. _ Okay, go ahead. _ I couldn't get close, but in the distance, I could see that there were many marks on the bodies, they were whitish with bruises and many cuts. I know they were brutally tortured, and it made me even more horrified. I didn't manage to stay there for a long time. I ran out and called the others, they didn't understand me because of the crying, but after a while, i managed to speak and then they went to the basement and were horrified by what they saw, just like me. I didn't have the courage to go down there again, I was still in shock. As soon as they went up, they called the police. _ So, you didn't see anyone, right? _ Yes! - The young woman was not lying, there was no one there when she arrived. _ What did you see in the basement? The young woman left the room breathing more relieved, after all, she felt pressed with all that. She looked at the companions who would be next and just gave them a forced smile.

David soon asked the next witness to enter. It Was none other than Count Phillipe, one of the suspects, after all, he had many reasons to kill Christine, but there was still his brother, an unknown quantity in the case.

His expression was calm, showing no nervousness as if he were innocent of all the charges. _ What do you want me to say, officer? You can ask me what you want. I will do my best to help you find my brother's killer. - He said firmly. _ How was your relationship with Christine? - The first question was done, causing Phillipe to start his theater. _ Well, she was related to my brother. I will not lie, I was never in favor of this relationship, but I would never do anything to hurt Christine. _ Wouldn't you? - And why didn't you approve their involvement? _ Christine couldn't make my brother happy, she always lied to him, it was always for the money, she never loved him. After the fateful first day of interrogation, others came, many others. All witnesses were heard.

There were two suspects, Count Phillipe, and the famous ghost. During a session with the witnesses: Reyer, Carlotta, Meg Giry, Madame Giry, and the two directors of the opera, they had all said about the ghost and his obsession with Christine Daaé and that he would have enough reason to kill Raoul, but Erik was never found, as well as no evidence to incriminate him.The Count, who was the other suspect, could not be arrested for lack of evidence. As much as he did not support the young Daaé's involvement with his brother, no fingerprints were found at the crime scene, making his arrest impossible.

For a moment Carlotta was also considered a suspect, but no evidence was found against her, causing her to be dropped from the list. For months, James and his team searched for an answer to the murder in the Opera House, thoroughly investigating every clue they could find, but none of them were enough to complete the case. The police were unable to find the ghost, making everything more difficult. After so many attempts, the case was closed with no response about who would have committed the crime and why. And Count Phillipe continued his free life.

After the funeral, everyone at the opera had taken a break to mourn the loss of Christine. Only when the case was dismissed, did they return to action, but very sad that they did not find the culprit, or perhaps the culprits.

The opera was not the same, even after its reopening. It was still difficult with everything that had happened, resulting in its closure. To alleviate the pain of the loss, everyone tried to convince themselves that Christine was in a better place, living happily with her beloved Raoul. That way, they would forget about their brutal deaths.

Even after years of the crime, the reopening of the crime followed by more investigations, never managed to solve it.
