“ The Bachelor in Business Administration believes very strongly that, ultimately, students’ success is determined by how they can execute and implement ideas —not just about what they know. We give them knowledge, but what we really find very important, and what we measure and monitor in every single student, is how they develop the skills that allow them to execute projects, business plans, and change processes in companies on an international scale”

Building Experiences For the Advertising Creativity class group project, students had to create a visual campaign that responds to the changes—such as increased consumer power—that the Digital Revolution is causing in today’s markets. They were challenged to collaborate with their teams to develop a creative campaign for Coca-Cola that focused on togetherness. The students went above and beyond, coming up with truly innovative ideas based on the insights they gained during the Advertising Creativity module.

Feminists cannot be religious

For the Graphic Design and Infographics final project, students were tasked with creating an infographic—or a visual representation of information that can be easily understood at a glance. First, the students had to choose a topic that could be told as an interesting and valuable story for the target audience. After choosing the topic, the students had to analyze the information and select which content was pertinent, in order to develop a powerful visual narrative. Once the content was developed and polished, the students brought the visual style to life, crafting a coherent and all-encompassing visual system. Finally, the poster itself was created. On the last day of class, the posters were printed, hung up, and presented. The objective of this project was to bring communication to the next level through graphic design and visual synthesis.

“ The Bachelor in Philosophy, Politics, Laws and Economics adopts a very entrepreneurial approach, through which students are encouraged to be creative by combining all the above mentioned disciplines in seeking solutions. This does not mean that students need necessarily develop new ventures to tackle the problems, but rather that they will have the confidence and skills necessary to address them, and the courage to propose unexplored solutions if required. Graduates will develop both the capacity to deconstruct complex problems to perform deep analysis and devise workable solutions. They will be able to understand human behavior in context, decode sophisticated social and institutional structures, and design processes and procedures to effectively tackle challenges

“ The Bachelor in Economics is very unique in the way is emerging technology, public policy and economy, and all these three fields are essential for students to solve and to manage themselves into the new economy that they are going to be living at. Students are benefiting from a fantastic group of faculty that are both practitioners and academics, but also everything that they will see in class will combine the solid foundation in economics, the solid theoretical body with very much applied theory. On top on that, they will have access to an internship and access to an exchange in another university

Students projects Crossing the Stream
GO BACK
The Crossing the Stream project is located in a park between Don Benito and Villanueva de la Serena, in Badajoz. Here, seven small streams join together to form the Arroyo del Campo, which feeds the productive landscape of the two towns. While Don Benito and Villanueva de la Serena are physically divided by the Arroyo del Campo stream, they are joined by the infrastructure they share, which has mutually helped them grow. Therefore, these two towns are a prime example of conurbation—the process by which small cities and towns merge to form a single urban area. The park includes a bird-watching area, a flower market, an equestrian center and a residential area. Author José María Casado Gómez

Rural Alchemy is located in Docenario in Extremadura, and is a group of handcrafted spaces which merge the area’s natural beauty with artificial nature, using methods such as third-nature design. The project hopes to encourage immigration to the area by offering a diversity of jobs for a variety of skill sets and levels of education, addressing the ongoing problem of depopulation in rural Spain. Aside from this, Rural Alchemy also acts as a source of revenue for the local economy. The project, which takes an ecological approach to its design, uses techno-social systems to fuse human and artificial production with the natural environment. This introduces new and creative, yet sustainable, technologies into the region to both develop the landscape and encourage population growth. Author Jose Lacruz Vela
