wo Rialto students were invited to celebrate their heritage as the San Bernardino Guatemalan consulate recently marked its first year anniversary. Amy Rios and Raul MontoyaCedillos, both students at Werner Elementary School, received the invitation from Mayor Carey Davis' Executive Assistant, Evelyn Estrada, to present a certificate of appreciation to the consulate. Receiving the award on behalf of the office was Billy Muñoz, consul for San Bernardino. As part of the event, the students were able to sample authentic Guatemalan cuisine and even receive a real Quetzal, which is similar to the American dollar, from Muñoz.
