tudents at Henry Elementary School were treated to a taste of “Fame.” Actress, singer and performer Erica Gimple, who starred as Coco Hernandez, an original cast member in the 1980s hit television series Fame, stopped by the visual and performing arts school to mingle with students. The visit, made possible by The Brightest Star, Inc., included mini art workshops and an opportunity to sing with the star. Gimple said the opportunity was unforgettable. “When teachers put their heart into teaching kids you can feel it and the eyes of these children were alive and engaged,” she said in an email to Brightest Star founder Lea Michelle Cash. “I am so glad I had the time and the opportunity to give and experience these very special young Henry stars cont. on next pg.
