Richness in one’s culture can never be more celebrated then when passion, respect and love are key ingredients. RUSD’s inaugural Dia De Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) Commemoration was held at Chavez/Huerta Center for Education on Friday, Nov. 1, hosted by the RUSD Parent Institute, with support from dedicated parent volunteers and staff leaders. The event showcased some of the most majestic dances, art, altars and display of profound respect for those who have left the earth. Thank you to all parent volunteers, students, and staff members from the RUSD for a tremendous turnout.

During the status update, provided by Rialto’s consultant Kimley-Horn & Associates, Inc., Representative David Vargo provided the significance of what a housing element accomplishes. “A housing element will establish Rialto’s goals and policies related to housing. It will identify housing needs in the city for all income groups, including special needs groups.
