Arianna Villalobos, a freshman at Colton High, was diagnosed with brain cancer; the event was to raise funds for the family.
The event was organized by Richard Corral, who felt inspired to help his friends, the Villalobos family, because his family endured a similar ordeal when his son was diagnosed with lymphoma cancer at the age of five. The event featured a kickball tournament, a car show, raffles,
food and so much more. 11 teams participated in the kickball tournament, and 42 cars registered to be a part of the car show. “The event was very successful, it was amazing to see the community and families united to support the Villalobos family,” said Tiffany De La Rosa, who was managing the car show at the event. Raffle prizes were donated by Colton businesses, prizes included gym memberships, gift cards, a TV, and more. There were 30 games played during the kickball tournament and was eventually won by the team Animal Kingdom, a new pet grooming business opening soon in Colton. City council members also did their part in this noble cause, waiving all fees for the event such as the rental fee for Elizabeth Davis Park. Mayor Richard DeLaRosa donated money to the family with the assistance of local businesses. Mayor DeLaRosa also had his Arianna, cont. on pg. 2

ike and Lori Miller, owners of the mad popular Woody’s Classic Grill, are turning the Grand Terrace restaurant industry up a few notches.
He mentioned that the brand new restaurant already has some fan favorites on the menu.
“I’ve been in the restaurant industry for 45 years, I used to own a 60’s restaurant. I checked the demographic of the Grand Terrace/Colton area and there are a lot of people around my age. Woody’s Classic Grill brings the beach scene to the area,” said Miller.
“The breakfast coffee cake is a popular item on the menu. It comes as a side with the breakfast entrees. I think everyone loves coffee cake, we make it every morning, it is fresh, with lots of cinnamon, brown sugar and a big mound of real butter,” Miller said.
“I actually used to bartend at a bar called JB’s in the exact lot as Woody’s back in 1986. So when the lease for this building came up in May 2018, I knew this was the location I wanted,” Miller said.
He also mentioned the most popular items on the lunch and dinner menu are the French dip, delightful sandwiches and gourmet burgers.
The friendly neighborhood restaurant opened on October 1 on Barton Road. “We have over 100 items on our menu. We offer everything from appetizers, salads, sandwiches,
