The seasoned San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Deputy said he will continue to work to improve parks and public infrastructure, promote government/staff transparency, and pushing for a steady tax base. “Together we have brought quality projects to our city, improving our neighborhoods while remaining good stewards of public funds,” Suchil said. “I understand that I work for the residents of Colton. I ask that voters join in support of the great work that must be done. Together we can continue to realize the great potential of our City of Colton. “ Election Day is on November 8.

Mayor De La Rosa scheduled to speak at CAM
C
olton Mayor Richard De La Rosa will be the keynote speaker at this Saturday’s Colton Area Museum meeting. De La Rosa will be discussing pertinent issues, such as business development and city services.
De La Rosa, a retired correctional officer, was first elected in 1998 as Council Member representing District 2. In 2002, his Council colleagues appointed him to serve a one year term as Mayor Pro Tempore. After serving three 4year terms of office, he opted to retire in December 2010.
In 2014, he came out of retirement and this time sought to be seated as Mayor. Based on the will of the people, he was successfully elected to serve as Mayor for the City of Colton.
Upon assuming office, Mayor DeLaRosa made it his charge to be responsive to all residents and businesses of Colton.
“Our accountability is to the citizens and businesses of Colton and we are constantly working to improve the way we do business."
The meeting will begin at 2:00 p.m. The Colton Area Museum is located at 380 N La Cadena Drive.
