he Measure D initiative, which would allow the City of Colton to transfer money from Utility Company’s their reserve into the General Fund, was approved by residents on Election Night. The General Fund Transfer will add approximately $4.8 million in funding annually for general city services–fire, police, parks and recreation, libraries, and senior services– not to exceed 20 percent of annual electric utility revenues. Fund transfers will take place until 2021--giving the residents the option to re-approve the measure if necessary.
