BARNETT SIMMONDS BIDIKAR

The spirit of awkward house calls is alive when Fergie and his punk spirit guide Sid arrive at The Fountain Asylum, only to find Martin Drakeman, business partner of Fergie’s father, stone cold dead. After rummaging through Martin’s room for a link to Fergie’s dad, Sid discovers an old locket and experiences a psychic flashback to a key moment between Fergie’s mom, Julie, and his dad, Billy/Beleth. Then Sid decides they’ve both earned a visit down the pub for a pint, a first for the Fergster, and the equivalent of the Caspian Sea for old Sid. Back in Preston, Dorothy Culpepper of The Department of Extra-Usual Affairs receives a future vision that reeks of red death after making a visit

to the Ferguson household. Now Dot has a black eye upon receiving a proper wallop from Julie, who gets her own bloody beating when she meets the blunt end of serial killer Bobby’s bat. He was going door-to-door looking for a very specific sinner... named Feargal Ferguson. Fergie’s still on the run for a murder he didn’t commit, not much closer to finding his dad Billy/Beleth and completely unaware that his mother’s life is hanging by a thread. He decides to trust Squirrel, the mysterious girl who saved his skin from another magpie attack, and is about to become acquainted with her renegade family, even though Sid is dubious...and rightly so...
