G.I. JOE: A REAL AMERICAN HERO #201 While G.I. Joe handled a tricky situation in Sierra Gordo, Cobra Commander mobilized his troops and raided G.I. Joe's home base, The Pit. The remaining G.I. Joe members, joined by Scarlett and Snake Eyes, managed to beat back the Cobra menace until the rest of the team returned. As Cobra made their escape, Duke organized a pursuit against the fleeing enemies. Cobra Commander seemingly led a few Cobra vehicles to distract the heroes, hot on their tail, and Duke found himself mano-a-mano with the head snake. Defeated, but successfully covering for the rest of the fleeing villains, Cobra Commander fell… but was then revealed as an android decoy all along! Cobra lives to fight another day… Back at the Pit, Joe Colton and Jane disclose some of the secrets of The Pit to G.I. Joe.
