Partnered with his best friend, Hawk, Doberman helped keep the mean streets of L.A. safe with a one-two punch of badassery and excessive badassery.

That is, until a drug-bust-gone-bad ended in Hawk’s death, and the monster responsible — Jasper Kane — walked away scot-free. Racked with guilt, Doberman left the force and disappeared. Years later, when news leaked of a “Crazed Woodsman” breaking up a Canadian prostitution ring, Chief immediately recognized Doberman’s m.o., and lured the lawman-turned-wildman back to the City of Angels for one final showdown with his arch-enemy.

Now, partnered with an awkward desk-jockey (Newton), and forced to bare his soul to a beautiful department shrink (Angie), Doberman still tries his damnedest to take a bite out of crime. That means donning his one-and-only disguise of Moko Rieko and going undercover at Kane’s “Third World Pets” charity to crack the case. He nearly blows his cover, but not before learning that Kane’s bringing drugs into the United States with the assist of man’s best friends…

Brandon McKinney is a comic book and storyboard artist who has worked in the industry for almost 30 years. He has taught and written college-level courses on storyboarding, and has written comics for Elfquest and his own Image title, JOURNEYMAN. Brandon currently resides with his four children in Florida, and aspires to live in his home state of California.
