The Highlands at Wyomissing ®

On March 28, 2023, The Highlands at Wyomissing broke ground on The Vistas at Fox Hill, a new, innovative community for adults 62 years and older to age in place with modern conveniences. The first of its kind in the region, The Vistas at Fox Hill hybrid model addresses the preferences and active lifestyles of a new generation of older adults, while providing a strong sense of connection and independence.

Slated to open in 2024, The Vistas at Fox Hill will include 41 modern-designed luxury residences, spacious common areas teeming with natural light and beautiful views, indoor parking and spectacular rooftop spaces for dining and socializing. Residents will also have access to resort-quality amenities including a dog grooming station, robust programming and cultural enrichment, and quality healthcare services. The Vistas at Fox Hill was designed by RLPS Architects and is being built by Benchmark Construction.

“It is our mission to provide remarkable living experiences for residents and evolve our offerings to promote independence, engagement and wellness for seniors in our region,” says Kevin DeAcosta, president and CEO of The Highlands at Wyomissing. “According to a feasibility study we conducted in 2021, there is a growing need for housing in our region as the senior population is projected to continue to grow by nearly 15 percent through 2026. The Vistas at Fox Hill is another example of how we are fulfilling a real need in our market.”

A few future residents of The Vistas at Fox Hill were on-site at the groundbreaking ceremony to help plant PA Redwoods to adorn the new property.

DeAcosta adds, “Trees symbolize life, growth, strength and interconnection, so we thought it would be fitting to plant trees in honor of this milestone. The Highlands at Wyomissing is more than just a retirement community — we are a vibrant Continuing Care Retirement Community that offers an all-inclusive lifestyle that prioritizes safety, growth, independence, security and comfort for all our residents and future residents.”
