Sojourn Down the Schuylkill

This year marks the 15th anniversary of the Schuylkill River Greenways Schuylkill River Sojourn on June 17-23 kicking off in Schuylkill Haven Park. Paddling starts at 9am each day and day paddlers should plan to be at their starting location by 7:30am. “Full trip paddlers will camp each night along the way and end the trip at Boathouse Row in Philadelphia. People can join the trip for just one day, the weekend, or pick a few days through the week,” explains Rosemary Keane, Communications Director, Schuylkill River Greenways. The Sojourn is the signature event for the nonprofit dedicated to connecting people and communities to the Schuylkill River and to the Heritage Area of the watershed. Says Keane, “Once people get connected to the river (and the Sojourn is the perfect way) they become ambassadors in a sense, encouraging others to interact with and protect the amazing natural and historical resource that is the Schuylkill River.” Looking to register or for more info?
